The Eastern coastal region of Mauritius has witnessed the fastest tourist development in the past 10 years. It boasts some of Mauritius most beautiful and diverse coastlines. Home to the largest lagoon of Mauritius beginning at Pointe D'Esny, this pristine and crystal clear water stretches some twenty Kilometres along the coast to Trou-d'Eau-Douce. Most of this lagoon is quite shallow with area's hosting some deep canals, the perfect habitat for a variety of sea life.
