La Pause is located on an oasis amid the Agafay Desert just an hour and a half southwest of Marrakech. It is a Berber desert retreat created by a Parisian with great taste. The rugged simplicity of this retreat is in step with the beautiful severity of a desert. Berber rugs in vivid red, mud walls, cushions, candles and a fireplace are the ingredients that set the style of the guest rooms. These are the seductive ingredients of style with cultural authenticity. La Pause has a splendid swimming pool which is hidden away in a small sunken garden.
Each tented room features a large bed, sofa, Berber rugs, cushions, oil lamps, candles, a bathroom with shower, and a fireplace. The tented guest rooms are situated very far apart from each other in order to guarantee privacy and more importantly, a way to ensure that each guest experiences the surreal atmosphere created by desert camping.
Guests can enjoy excellent Moroccan cuisine prepared by professional chefs wherever they choose. Options include the dining tent, their rooms, in the garden, or on their private terrace.
Guests can enjoy a variety of fun and relaxing activities during their stay including use of the small swimming pool on site. A variety of other activities are made available for guests as well but at an additional cost including quad-bike rides, horse treks, mountain biking, guided camel rides, golf, and various massage treatments at the spa.
