Les Jardins de La Medina

The Les Jardins de la Médina Hotel is located in downtown Marrakech, in the Kasbah district, close to the Royal Palace, and just a few minutes’ walk from the famous Jemma El Fnaa square lined with colorful markets. This hotel is a magical place hidden behind high walls, and boasts picturesque gardens filled with oranges, olives and jacaranda trees. Originally an aristocratic home dating from the 1860’s, this huge riad surrounded by trees later became Les Jardins de la Medina, and benefited from a wide and easily accessible entrance suitable for princely carriages. Like the princes of old who were dropped by carriage right up to their entrance door by day or by night, today you are delivered via taxi or 4x4 directly to the doorstep, so there is no danger of you getting lost in the winding, narrow streets of the Medina. Les Jardins de la Médina is conveniently situated between the two Royal Palaces, a privileged location that guarantees comfort and security.

Les Jardins de La Medina Restaurants

Arranged comfortably in the former reception hall of the Riad and under the high ceilings of carved cedar, the restaurant and its intimate little bar are imbued with all the charm of the past. Breakfast is presented in buffet style inside and outside, with Moroccan and Continental menu options to savor in the dining room or on your private terrace. Every Sunday, you can enjoy a Brunch in the open-air terrace, beside the pool, in the midst of the gardens. The buffets put the focus on fusion cuisine, surfing between traditional French and Moroccan cooking and the quest for new flavors. For the rest of the week, lunch is the moment to taste the cuisine of the day, light and savory, also served in the centuries-old garden. Evenings are mellow in the bar, which welcomes you into a cosy atmosphere beside the fireplace, or in the gardens on fine days. Drinks, cocktails, glasses of selected wines, and hot drinks are always made available. At dinnertime, the menu is particularly inventive, inspired by the cuisine of near and far away, in harmony with the season and the inspiration of Chef Sanaa Gamasse. The list of French and Moroccan wines is one of the finest in Marrakech and the selection offers a discovery of little-known wine regions.
