Riad El Fenn is a luxury riad in the heart of the Marrakech medina, only a five minutes’ walk from the Koutoubia mosque and the Djemma Al Fna square. With its uniquely styled suites, 3 swimming pools and an in-house hammam spa, Riad El Fenn is a boutique hotel of unique quality. Every detail has been carefully considered from the fine linen to the delicious food. The enormous terraces and plentiful comfy nooks make it the ideal place to relax and unwind in North Africa's most exotic city. The owners of Riad El Fenn, Vanessa Branson & Howell James, have created a hotel that is really a chic home away from home, with its own organic garden, bar and restaurant on site, private cinema and library.
The Courtyard rooms are double rooms decorated in a Moroccan style with a twist. All have an open bathroom with tadelakt bath and monsoon shower. The beds also have been crafted out of tadelakt. Some rooms have real wood fires, and one is tucked high in the hotel with its own private terrace. The rooms and suites are all uniquely decorated, but each has a bedroom, a small or large sitting area and a bath/shower en suite.
The Colonnade rooms are larger with either an oversized bathroom or an outside seating area to enjoy. One has a hot pink tadelakt bathroom and the bed in another has been created by local artisans and is backed by a huge Venetian mirror. The rooms and suites are all uniquely decorated, but each has a bedroom, a small or large sitting area and a bath/shower en suite.
Each Pool Suite had a different style. One so romantic the Sunday Times voted it one of its top ten sexiest hotel rooms, the other with a New York mezzanine loft feel. Both are around 700ft2 (65m2) and come with a private terrace, plunge pool, kilim-covered beds, hand-stitched camel leather floors and sun loungers. The rooms and suites are all uniquely decorated, but each has a bedroom, a small or large sitting area and a bath/shower en suite.
Each Imperial Suite is individually styled. One has copper, brass and stainless steel inlaid into the polished floor, another boasts 23 carat gold leafing and then there's the free standing roll top silver bath for two. At around 650ft2 (60m2), the suites all have a lounge area, fireplace and a huge bathroom complete with monsoon shower and bath. The rooms and suites are all uniquely decorated, but each has a bedroom, a small or large sitting area and a bath/shower en suite.
The restaurant’s approach is to keep it simple. Fresh clean tastes are made with local ingredients from their organic garden on the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.
Enjoy horseback riding, golf, quad biking, hiking, hot air ballooning, tennis and day trips to the mountains and countryside spas. There is an extensive array of DVD's, a library full of novels and a fireplace, art books and games. Relax at a traditional hammam spa including treatment rooms, 2 marble swimming pools and 1 tiled 3m x 3m dipping pool.
