Andersson's Camp

The newly-built Andersson's Camp is located in the Ongava Game Reserve, situated only 4.5kms from Etosha National Park's western gate. The Reserve is dominated by Mopane woodland, whilst a low range of dolomite hills, the Ondundozonanandana Range, provide relief to the otherwise flat surrounding area. Andersson's Camp is the ideal location for a comfortable, modern-day exploration of both the Ongava Game Reserve and Namibia's Etosha Park. The Reserve has a healthy population of both black and white rhino. Populations of the endemic Anchieta's dwarf python, striped tree squirrel and a localized subspecies of rock hyrax, can also be found here. On either side of the main farmhouse are 20 new luxury tents for the guests comfort. Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast and wonderful cuisine from the chef's 'a la carte' menu, wine and dine under the stars, have a drink or simply relax around the inviting camp fire.

Luxury Tent (Package)

This former farmstead has been tastefully rebuilt to modern-day standards. The old farmhouse now forms the main area of Andersson's Camp with some 20 tented guest units radiating outwards into the secluded mopane woodlands typical of the region. Tents are a clever mix of calcrete stone cladding, canvas and wood, with double-door entrances and a small veranda. The en-suite bathrooms continue the unique design. Each is built on raised decks for an enhanced view of the waterhole and surrounding plains.

Dining at Andersson's Camp's can be done in the dining area, around the camp fire, or on your private veranda. Meals vary from traditional Namibian-African inspired options to the more popular, more westernized cuisines. Where possible, the excellent staff will use local produce to insure that the locals stay prosperous.

Activities include day trips into Etosha, nature walks, day and night game drives on Ongava Game Reserve. Etosha National Park is Namibia's premier wildlife destination. At almost the size of Switzerland it is certainly one of Africa's largest game parks. Large herds of plains game concentrate around the waterholes in the dry season, whilst the summer months' sporadic rainfall produces a profusion of new life - with prancing baby springbok and comical young wildebeest.
