Sossus Dune Lodge lies just 4km from the Sesriem gate, at the base of a mountain. With magnificent views of the distant dunes to the west. It is the first, and currently only, lodge to be built in the Namib-Naukluft National Park. Guests can walk directly from the lodge into the nearby Sesriem Canyon.
Situated within the park, guests benefit from being able to reach Sossusvlei before sunrise, and stay until after sunset, and on their return after an exhilarating day, relax in the tranquility and splendor of the Namib Desert, under the spectacular African sky. Built in an environmentally sensitive manner, primarily from wood, canvas and thatch, in an attractive 'afro-village' style, offers guests an evocative and life changing experience.
23 Desert Chalets 2 beds, 1 room; Well spaced en suite chalets, equipped with coffee stations and small fridges. The mini bar has bottled water as complimentary at all times. The rest of the drinks are stocked as per guests’ request.
2 Honeymoon Suite: 2 beds, 1 room; the honeymoon suite have an advantage of an outside bed on the balcony. The honeymooner mini bars are stocked fully every time. The Honeymooners received a fruit-basket & a sparkling wine to enjoy the sundowner from the honeymoon suit.
