The Boathouse is a beachfront hotel located 50km north of Durban in South Africa. The hotel consists of 22 Suites with large private balconies. The property also boasts a restaurant, cigar bar, library and pool which overlook the Indian Ocean.
Retreat to a room with fine touches to detail, crisp clean sheets and all the amenities to enhance your comfort. Selected satellite and SABC TV, air conditioning, telephone, tea & coffee tray are all standard to our rooms. Each room is individually decorated in its own colour scheme of fabric and style. Choose between luxury (with deck balcony) or standard rooms (some with deck balcony) – most of the rooms have sea views.

Our chefs prepare a delicious selection cuisine that is complimented by a fine selection of South African wines. Specialities like fresh line fish, seafood platters and choice cuts of beef are enhanced by fresh herbs and exotic stocks and sauces. Lunch and dinner in our a-la-carte restaurant is a memorable experience.
Ideally located in Ballito, The Boathouse is in close proximity to a variety of activities – most within an hours drive. Golfing, shopping, entertainment shows, day trips, and adrenaline sports are all available.
