Feel the immense power of nature deep within your chest as you marvel at the roaring waters of Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River.
The falls are among the largest in the world, and a private on-foot tour reveals all the best vantage points to witness this remarkable feat of nature. You’ll also experience a much calmer side of the Zambezi River on a picturesque sunset cruise as hippos, crocodiles, elephants and abundant birdlife patrol the banks. Those sights are only matched by your game drive on the savannah of the Kruger National Park where lions, leopards, zebras and cheetahs all prowl in the golden afternoon light. There’s also much to discover in cosmopolitan Cape Town, among the vibrant cobbled streets of traditional Bo Kaap, and on the breath-taking coastal drive to the Cape of Good Hope.
This is an all-encompassing tour that combines the best of coastal South Africa with the stirring sights of the savannah and the abundant wildlife of the mighty Zambezi River. Accommodation at traditional safari lodges is designed to capture the spirit of a traditional African safari, while the Dutch-colonial architecture and historic grandeur of your other hotels weaves a rich tapestry of African cultural life. And private tours with experienced guides reveal the stories behind the sites.

Enjoy a private transfer between the airport and your hotel.
Accommodation: Welgelegen A Dutch colonial allure shades the Welgelegen Guest House, a quaint but sleek city haven. Shielded by leafy canopies and placed in a quiet neighborhood of Cape Town, the hotel offers two Victorian houses with a total of 12 rooms. Meals may be taken in the dining room, or outdoors with Table Mountain as a backdrop. Also visit popular restaurants in the area, which are just in walking distance. Plan a daytrip and visit Cape Point, or the Kirstenbosch Gardens. Otherwise, simply wander around the city of Cape Town.
Malay Quarter
Day 2: Cape Town
This morning you will be met by your guide and coach for a morning exploration of the Cape Town, known affectionately as the Mother City. Your tour will take in the Houses of Parliament, the Castle of Good Hope (built between 1666 and 1679, this is South Africa’s oldest building), lively Greenmarket Square with its daily market, the Company Gardens and of course Table Mountain which will give you spectacular views over the city and Peninsula (cable car fee is not included as it is weather dependent). On our descent, we stop at the Bo Kaap, home to the Cape Malay community, with its cobbled streets and brightly coloured houses. You will have the choice of being dropped off at the Waterfront to experience this vibrant location at your own pace, with its many shops, restaurants and pubs or at your hotel at the end of the tour.

Today you'll join a small group (max of 12) to embark on a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula. We take in the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, before crossing over to Hout Bay, where you may choose to join an optional boat cruise to Seal Island. From here we drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve via Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breathtaking coastal drives, where you will board a funicular to the top of the Peninsula to witness the symbolic meeting of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans as well as have spectacular views over False Bay. We enjoy lunch near here (not included – own account) before continuing to Simonstown, the naval base, and visiting the African Penguin breeding colony at Boulders Beach. Day 5: Kruger
Before first light you'll meet up with others at the lodge and embark on your early morning game drive. Sunrise and sunset are when the animals are most active. You'll be out in the reserve for a few hours before returning back to the lodge for breakfast. A private vehicle can be booked at an additional cost depending on availability.
After lunch you may wish to stay at camp and siesta instead of continuing on with the game viewing drive into the afternoon. Although the heat minimises animal movement it is always worth going on a game viewing drive after lunch. Sometimes it's nice to park up at a waterhole and wait patiently to see what animals come to drink. You never know what you might see! Late afternoon is another productive time for game viewing as the day starts to cool down ensuring further animal movement.

Travel tips of South Africa
VISA/PASSPORT
Visitors to South Africa for tourism, short business meetings, or those in transit do not require visas for stays of up to 90 days. We recommend that the passports of all travelers to South Africa contain at least two completely blank (unstamped) visa pages each time entry is sought. These pages are in addition to the endorsement/amendment pages (as many as four) at the back of the passport. While South African statutes require only one completely blank visa page, this rule has been applied inconsistently by South African immigration officials. In addition, any trip to a neighboring country would necessitate another blank page upon return.
Please note obtaining a visa is your responsibility. These requirements change often and therefore it is best that you check with the embassy of South Africa for the most up to date visa information.
HEALTH
Health insurance is recommended. Medical facilities are relatively wide spread and good quality. We recommend that you see a health-care provider who specializes in Travel Medicine. The doctor or health-care provider will determine what vaccinations and medication you will need, depending on factors such as your health and immunization history, areas of the country you will be visiting, and planned activities. For more information on travel requirements, visit the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website: http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/south-africa.aspx
