Leeuwenbosch Country House, located in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, is a gracious colonial country house set amidst beautiful indigenous gardens, offering guesthouse accommodation and a family safari experience steeped in settler history. The Country House, built in 1908, offers 5 spacious en-suite bedrooms, and is layered with a collection of historical images, documents, and furniture dating back to the 1800s. Set back from the Country House, Shearers Lodge offers contemporary double suites, overlooking a cool low-roofed verandah and tranquil swimming pool. The rooms are all luxuriously appointed, consisting of 4 twin rooms and a honeymoon suite. Relax in the dining room and the cozy bar located in an underground cavern. Enjoy exciting game viewing, African cooking demonstrations by the lodge chefs, cultural dances and much more!
Savour a quiet moment in the dim stillness of the 19th-century stone chapel. Enjoy high tea in the shade of the verandah. Sit late into the night in the convivial stone-walled cellar bar. Leeuwenbosch Country House Suites feature a double room with en-suite bathroom. These suites also include a lounge where a sleeper couch/two single beds are available to accommodate a child (under 12 years old). Room amenities include a tea and coffee maker.
Shearers Lodge En-Suites include a bathroom, as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
