Fransvliet Guest House in Franschhoek is situated on a working farm, growing grapes, olives and figs. Wake up to the call of the birds and in the evening perhaps hear the resident owls calling as they contemplate the night's hunt. Breathtaking mountain views are all around, each one more spectacular than the last. The individually decorated suites are pure luxury, with absolute attention to detail. Soft wineland colours set the tone for a perfect stay.
Situated in the Franschhoek valley, with river frontage, and with easy access to the main road, the guest house is the perfect location for a Cape Winelands getaway. The close proximity to Franschhoek, celebrated as South Africa's food and wine capital, makes for wonderful weekends of restaurants, wine tastings and exploration. Nearby Stellenbosch and Paarl have more incredible restaurants and wine farms to discover, as well as interesting historical sights. There are many magnificent venues within easy reach of Fransvliet guest house. The guest house is the perfect location for your special friends to share the weekend together.
Fransvliet Guest House has five suites, with names like Chenin and Chardonnay they offer superb king size beds clad in crisp white cotton. Firm pillows and fluffy duvets provide sheer luxury. Each suite has a fireplace, perfect for those winter afternoons. Imagine curling up in a soft throw with a good book and a glass of wine. Summer offers something different. Relax on your private veranda with a glass of crisp sauvignon blanc and a bowl of olives. Also includes air conditioning, WiFi and good sized TV's.
An exceptional breakfast can easily be the best meal of the day. Take your time over a chilled "health shot" of freshly prepared seasonal fruit and vegetable juice. The Cape is world famous for stone fruits, melons, berries, apples and pears. All so fresh, that even the smell is different. Many of the fruits and vegetables are grown right here, on the farm. Yogurts, homemade muesli and cereals are followed by either a superb Continental spread or a full breakfast that could include Eggs Benedict, Fresh Ham products from a neighbouring area, Asparagus with a poached egg or the Valley's best Smoked Salmon Trout. Naturally this is followed by muffins, pastries and homemade preserves. Real coffee and a variety of teas are served.
