Athol Place is a small luxury boutique hotel located in the cosmopolitan northern suburb of Atholl in Johannesburg. All 10 suites have been individually designed, providing a sanctuary of comfort and tranquillity. The large suites, all with en-suite bathrooms, are extremely spacious – no suite is smaller than 50 square metres.
Contemporary-classic glamour and understated elegance meet at Athol Place, ensuring an unforgettable stay. You are invited to enjoy everything they offer, from the comfortably furnished library with built-in fireplace to the large swimming pool. The beautiful garden is the perfect place to unwind after a long day, or join up for a drink in the bar area.
The stylish suites have each been individually decorated to give you a sense of relaxed elegance. One of the style signatures is the beds which are made up in crisp white percale Frette bed linen imported from Italy. Luxurious duck-down duvets and soft, silky cushions contribute to the experience of absolute comfort and luxury. Each suite has large doors opening out onto a private balcony.

All meals are expertly prepared in our private kitchen by our in-house chef. Sumptuous breakfasts, light lunches and dinners are served in the elegant dining area with its adjoining lounge. In addition, guests have the option of dining outside under the trees in the tranquil seclusion of our landscaped garden. Room service is also available at AtholPlace. Every evening guests are welcome to enjoy complimentary pre-dinner drinks and canapes, served in the library or lounge. The restaurant and service at AtholPlace are exclusively for the use of our guests and are not open to the public.
