Knysna Hollow is located on the Garden route near the famous Knysna Lagoon. The Estate consists of 15 garden chalets and 64 garden rooms. All rooms and chalets have been decorated with a Knysna forest feel. Amenities in all chalets and rooms include television, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fans and private patios. Garden Chaletsa lso include telephones and mini-bar fridges and ten units also boast wood-burning fireplaces, perfect for those romantic winter evenings. Knysna Hollow is the perfect base from which to explore Knysna, the Garden Route and the surrounding forests. Knysna's well known for its rich green forests and endless lakes.
Knysna Hollow offers 1 bar and 2 resturants on property. Unwind with pre-dinner drinks in the Rutland Arms Pub or on the deck of the old Manor House followed by dinner at the Knysna Hollow Restaurant or The Pecan Tree Grill Room with its warm and relaxed atmosphere offers delicious seasonal fare and an extensive selection of South African wines. There are three swimming pools and a curio shop located on the property.
The 64 twin-bed Garden Rooms are all well equipped with ceiling fans, tea & coffee facilities, television and hairdryers, as well as covered patios. All rooms are decorated in a fresh, natural style and offer clean and crisp comfort with all modern amenities.
The 3 Garden Suites offer accommodation with hand crafted furniture, open-plan living areas that lead onto private bedrooms, each with their own patio. Wood-burning fireplaces add atmosphere and warmth in the cooler months. All units feature ultra-modern bathrooms with twin basins, heated towel rails and Charlotte Rhys amenities. All 3 units include ceiling fans, mini-bar fridges, tea & coffee facilities, satellite television, telephone and hairdryers.
The 12 Garden Chalets offer relaxed open-plan living areas leading onto private bedrooms each with their own patio. Wood-burning fireplaces in some units add atmosphere and warmth in the cooler months. All chalets include ceiling fans, bar fridges, tea & coffee facilities, television, telephone and hairdryers. 3 chalets include fold-out sleeper couches (these units can also accommodate an extra bed).
The Knysna Hollow Restaurant is situated in the Manor House and serves seasonal fresh food in relaxed ambient surroundings. The menu reflects flavours and influences from around the globe, with a selection of dishes that will stimulate the senses. Choose between ocean-fresh seafood such as Tiger Prawns and Linefish, to South African specialties such as Karoo Lamb and venison dishes or a decadent, locally inspired dessert.
The Pecan Tree Grill Room, is perfectly suited to serve contemporary Cape cuisine, in an alternate venue to our a la carte restaurant. The Pecan Tree Grill Room’s menu includes both classic Malay-inspired dishes such as spicy Malay lamb curry as well as local specialities like fresh Knysna Oysters. Warm and friendly service accompanies our menu and the hand-picked wine list is sure to contain the perfect Cape wine to complement your meal.
The laid-back Rutland Arms Pub is a warm and friendly place to enjoying a beverage and socialise with friends, family and other guests. Sport is screened on satellite televisions, while ice-cold local Mitchell’s draught and warm, friendly service make this a special gathering place to interact and meet people.
Three Swimming Pools are arranged around the expansive grounds, giving guests a choice of sparkling refreshment oases to enjoy, including a kiddies pool for the little people at our unique round swimming pool.
Knysna Hollow offers an intimate boutique at which guests can purchase unique, branded, quality clothing and local arts and crafts at great prices.
Outdoor Games are a special and unique feature at Knysna Hollow. They offer a full-size Pentanque court with a Boulle set, as well as a giant chess board in the Rose Garden for guests to enjoy.
