The Hog Hollow Country Lodge

This is African chic luxury accommodation, 20km outside Plettenberg Bay, with one of the most incredible views along the Garden Route. Hog Hollow Country Lodge is set in a private nature reserve, on a steep hillside overlooking the Matjies River Gorge and surrounded by indigenous forest and spectacular views. The 16 suites are spaciously set in lush gardens surrounding the main house. With a distinctive African-style and an earthy palette with splashes of colour, suites have been tastefully decorated.


    The sixteen suites are all situated in the gardens surrounding the main house. King size beds (or twin if you prefer) earthy colours with a bit of zing. Hand crafted artifacts, a well stocked mini bar and a hi-fi with some interesting music. Sit out on your private wooden deck listening to the sounds of a garden humming with life, enveloped in the warmth of the African sun.

      Hog Hollow is well known for its delectable food. On crisp clear mornings, farmhouse breakfasts are served on the boma deck overlooking the forest and mountains, or near the huge fireplace when it’s cooler. At the centre of the Main House is our famously large dining room table!They start their dinners out at the boma; with tasty little treats to wet the appetite. It’s a festive occasion as the day ends and the full splendor of the African stars shine down on deck.


        There is an outdoor pool overlooking the scenic views of the mountainous area.
