Arumeru River Lodge is a comfortable lodge built on an old coffee plantation near Arusha, just half an hour away from Kilimanjaro International Airport. The lodge is the ideal base for the first or last stop of the Safari Itinerary. The large solar-heated pool invites for some lazy hours in the afternoon. The 21 spacious rooms and 7 suites are nested in a tropical garden. The Lodge is well known for its excellent cuisine and organically grown vegetables. Every day two Chefs from Zanzibar are defining the right balance of exotic African flavors and International standards in the "Migrations Restaurant" or in the Terrace Restaurant.

The garden chalets include a terrace with safari chairs and table, walk-in shower and double wash basin, fan and mosquito net. There will be a complimentary bottle of drinking water per each day stayed, in-room wifi is available each day for $5 US, and hairdryers are available upon request.
The 6 Junior-Suites are the latest upgrade on Arumeru River Lodge. All have luxurious terrazzo floors & bathrooms that create a light-flooded atmosphere.These suites include additional 20 m2 space, bathroom with hairdryer, second private verandah, integrated EU/US power adapters, in-room WiFi free of charge and a safe.
The Meru/Family Cottage is another comfortable option with two en-suite bedrooms and a big living room with open chimney on two levels.This suite includes extra living room with guest WC, modern kitchenette, in-room WiFi free of charge, air condition in studio bedroom and hairdryer.
The Terrace and Migrations Resturants hosts two top chefs from Zanzibar that mix the right balance of exotic African flavors. They use organically grown vegetables and fresh spring water transported directley through a lodge owned pipeline from the mountain.
The Safari Bar is carved from mahogany trees and is a place to enjoy a Kilimanjaro Beer, a Cappuccino, or a Gin Tonic and to recollect the Safari impressions of the day.
The large solar-heated pool is the center of the garden. It is surrounded by palm trees and tropical vegetation and invites for perfect relaxation in the afternoon.
Activities in and around the lodge include a rainforest walk, a village walk, organic coffee walk, Lake Duluti walk, Arusha city safari, and a Mulala hike. These activities can be booked through your sales representative.
