Chada Katavi is in one of the best safari locations in Tanzania. The camp includes six small, yet spacious East African safari tents with wide-open fronts giving you panoramic views of the plain and animal life that constantly comes and goes. Elephant are frequent visitors, attracted to the shady fruit around the camp, and vast herds of buffalo graze on the flood plain. You'll find the dining tent and library are comfortable little spaces to relax in when you're not out in the midst of a safari adventure.
Chada Katavi's tents, just 6 of them, are raised up on wooden platforms on the edge of the Chada Plain. They have wide-open fronts and lots of shade net windows to let in the passing breeze. The eco-friendly camp blends in nicely with the environment. The tents are raised on wooden platforms and en-suite bathrooms with eco-flush toilets, traditional safari-style bucket showers, and hot and cold water is available on request.
Chada Katavi has 6 traditional, double, safari tents on wooden platforms with spectacular views, complete privacy, and large, comfortable beds. A large private bathroom is set behind each tent with eco-flush toilets and bucket showers, hot and cold water available on demand. During down time, simply stop by the large mess tent or the separate library tent for a good read. Fireplace & dining under the stars is a highly rated activity at Chada Katavi.
