Mbugani Camps provides the most intimate connection to nature, settled in the heart of one of the world's finest game parks. This camp offers an intimate connection to nature in this world famous park. With a maximum of 8 tents, staff are attentive to guests' needs and eager to please. Three main meals are served each day in the large canvas dining tent overlooking the plains. The classic safari tents feature campaign furniture and canvas wardrobe. Located in the Grumeti area, the camp is ideally situated for game drives along the river or head out into the park for the whole day and visit central Serengeti, known for its population of lion, leopard and cheetah. This is a rare opportunity to experience a classic tented camp experience. Fall asleep to the sound of animals outside; enjoy drinks by the fire as you watch the sun set over the plains.
Mbugani Camps is located in the western corridor in the Grumeti area and offers an intimate connection to nature in this world famous park.
The camp was created to provide a classic bush experience at a great price. With only 6-10 tents throughout the year, guests are able to enjoy a more private experience in the bush. Each tent features two queen beds and an en-suite bathroom with shower, sink and flush toilet. Running cold water is available all day and hot water for morning or evening showers is available on request. Electricity in the rooms is limited to the evening hours for charging batteries and lighting the tents. Blow dryers and charging laptops is not recommended. Safari chairs are set at the entrance of your tent to create a mini-canvas patio where you can sit and enjoy a drink and share stories of the days safari adventures.
Enjoy delicious Pan-African and traditional bush cuisine. Three main meals are served each day in the large canvas dining tent overlooking the plains. Menus feature locally grown vegetables and fresh ingredients. Meals can be tailored to fit any special dietary requirements; please advise your travel consultant if you have any special requests or needs (the camp must be notified in advance of your arrival). In the evening the camp lights a fire to warm a semi-circle of chairs looking. Sit and share your stories and adventures with staff and other guests as the sun sets over the plains. This is the soul of Africa - lose yourself in the relaxing solitude of the mighty Serengeti, far from civilization.
The camp sits inside the park gate in the Grumeti area, easy access to the park also allows for great game viewing and grants greater security in the camp. Talk to your guide or manager about other options such as visiting a Masai village, a day trip to Lake Victoria and more.
