Chem Chem Tarangire is situated on a 4000-hectare private land concession and lies in the “migration corridor” between Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park. This fantastic location is perfect for unforgettable walking safaris and bird watching excursions. Throughout Chem Chem the use of the primordial elements of water, fire, stone and wood create a dwelling both elegant yet sensitive to its surroundings. This fluency within the lodges and camps helps to promote the concept of the “Slow Safari”, where the Africa experience does not finish when you step out of your 4×4; instead it continues throughout your whole stay at the lodge, whether it be through a calming holistic massage under the bows of an acacia tree, a stroll around the lake with a knowledgeable guide or simply enjoying a romantic lakeside dinner for two.
Each tented suite is situated in a private palm-island enjoying a wonderful, private lake view. The suite, 100m2, is a combination of canvas, lava-stones and wood. Where else if not in the African Wilderness you want to sleep under a canvas roof? Tents are a minimum of 80 metres apart to ensure total privacy.
