Tarangire River Camp

Tarangire River Camp, set within 25,000 hectares of concession area, is just 3.5 km from the main entrance to Tarangire National Park. Guests are accomodated in 20 luxury safari tents, which are en-suite with hot and cold running water. The tents are tastefully furnished with all the comforts you will need whilst on safari and open out onto stunning views of Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro.

    Tarangire River Camp consists of 7 double tents, 9 twins, 2 triples, and 2 family tents all under thatched roofing. Each tent is built on raised wooden decks, and are elegantly decorated. These tents are equipped with en-suite bathroom with a shower, a flush toilet, and a sink basin with hot water available all day. Other room amenities include a luggage rack, bedside tables, clothing closet, and a fully enclosed mosquito bed. Also, each tent has a roofed porch, equipped with a table and chair.

      Tarangire River Camp Restaurants

      Delicious dinners are served by candlelight in the thatch and timber elevated dining area, with dramatic views across the Masai plains and a friendly and attentive staff always on hand to cater to your every need. Breakfasts consist of cereals, fruits, yogurts, toast, muffins, juice, tea and coffee. Lunch and dinner consists of a variety of salads, tasty starches, and fresh fish and meats.

        Tarangire River Camp Activities

        Activities at Tarangire River Camp include game drives, guided walking safaris, birding watching on the shores of Lake Manyara, and cultural safaris visiting the Maasai and Datoga peoples whose bomas populate adjacent land. By request, guest may attend a Maasai dancing show, where the performs are transported to and from the camp, for a night of dancing under the stars!
