Tarangire Treetops Camp is located a short trip outside the Tarangire Conservation Area, offering an especially comfortable and enchanting stay in wooden treehouses. The 20 individual treehouses provide the utmost in privacy and scope, with panoramic views from each veranda. Meals consist of pan-African cuisine as well as some dabbling in international treats. The area overlooks a wateringhole where a multitude of animals gather, while the camp itself is set in the path of the elephant migration and ensures a lot of contact with wildlife. The campsite is perfect for nature walks and game drives.
Our suites are perched high up in the age old Baobab and Marula trees. Astride the path of the Elephant Migration, Tarangire Treetops sits alone in a private game reserve bordering Tarangire National Park and the Maasai Steppe amid rolling, baobab-studded hills with views to Lake Manyara and the Rift Valley wall. Tarangire Treetops has a magical, adventurous and exotic feel, appealing to the childlike senses of fun and awe. The boutique style lodge, exudes a timeless essence, its majestic trees and the landscape, sparking the imagination to times of yore. Twenty suites, each 65 sq metres with a private balcony, are distinctively and lavishly furnished. Natural materials are blended with contemporary Africana décor, to provide guests with a unique and most memorable safari experience. Encasing a vast Baobab tree the spacious and tranquil dining room, reception and lounge overlooks the swimming pool and a waterhole.
Tarangire Treetops offers 20 luxury tents, built atop tree-attached platforms, overlooking the Tarangire Sand River. Each en-suite unit has a private veranda and lounge area, with sweeping views over the private Conservation area. Distinctively furnished blending natural materials and modern décor, the tree houses provide guests with a unique safari experience. Reception The greeting that awaits you is a gigantic baobab tree around 700 years old that grows right in the centre of the reception area. The reception is designed around the tree, making it the center attraction. Lobby Huge comfortable seats are scattered in this area, and right in the centre, a pit is constructed, in a terraced pattern with cushions to make sitting comfortable. A fire pit is in the middle of this and this very cosy especially during chilly evenings.

The dining area overlooks the swimming pool and a water hole which is often frequented by game. It is open, spacious and allows an uninterrupted view of the land. The bar is in the same area as the dining room and carry’s on the theme of the dining area. Dining styles and themes may include bush breakfast, bush breakfast with champagne, bush lunch, bush dinner/bbq, sundowner + bar snacks, sundowner + canapés, and sundowner + canapés + 45 minutes open bar.
Wildlife in the area includes buffalo, lion, cheetah, leopard and huge herds of elephant, frequenting the camps water hole. The camp also offers the unique facility of night game drives and game walks, including a Masai experience in an authentic boma. A swimming pool is available for those wanting to refresh themselves after a long day’s game drive.
