The Palms rests on the Eastern shore with the gorgeous views of the Indian Ocean. It is one of the most exquisite and luxourious escapes in Zanzibar, Tanzania. With six private villas, each decorated impeccably and considerably sized, there is nothing lacking in these tastefully appointed quarters. A verandah with a four poster bed allows for a terrific view of the unavoidable Indian Ocean. Dining is elegant yet freeing, with daring spices and flavors that are only experimented with in certain areas of the world. Fresh seafood is in abundance, and the staff have no problem catering to the requests of guests. Aside from lounging at the beachside, there is also a swimming pool, spa, and bar on site which are very much favored by the guests.
The Palms has six villas, each over 140 square meters with a bedroom, living room, full en suite bathroom, dressing room , extra room with its own en suite bathroom and large furnished terrace with views of the Indian Ocean. Each villa features a sophisticated interior composition in all colours of coffee and cream with caramel coloured curtains, polished floors and the decor is unique to that of colonial grandeur and traditional design. On the verandah, a silk, draped four poster bed is accented with a private outdoor plunge pool with fantastic views of the Indian Ocean.
A fusion of cultures in Zanzibar has resulted in a unique cuisine, which blends exotic spices, fruits and flavours of the island. The chefs have an exotic menu creating a wonderful dining experience. The elegant colonnaded terrace of The Plantation House leads into the Spice inspired bar, onto the antique, elegant dining room where fabrics change daily from rust coloured silks to crisp white linens. The Palms offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, afternoon tea, mineral water, soft drinks and juices, coffee and tea, a selection of house wines, beer, and an array of in-house spirits.
The Sanctuary Spa is set with a beautiful ocean front setting, reflecting a sophisticated Swahili style enhanced with candlelight and spice scented aromas.
