The tall thin building wraps around an atrium, with just three rooms on each of its three floors. All the furniture is of high quality and carefully selected to give the hotel a wonderfully traditional and antique feel.

The design of nine rooms is inspired by Zanzibar's rich history,integrating Arabian, Indian and English designs. The rooms have their own unique decor with many local originating antique pieces, magical beds, Persian rugs, and colourful silks. Each room includes air conditioner, high-pressure water, ceiling fan, majestic beds, mosquito nets, in- house telephone, digital Safe, cable network TV, DVD player, bathrobes, and (on request) hair dryer. The lobby, reception, restaurant and bar areas are fully air-conditioned.

The breakfast is an impressive intercontinental spread breakfast, with a variety of cheeses and cold cuts, as well as lots of home-baked breads and cakes and not to forget real coffee.The hotel chef creates meals with fantastic basic ingredients, just a few extra touches and lots of passion. You will find the finest fresh seafood that can be found on the Island in the hotels's private Palace Restaurant. The main courses vary from tuna, kingfish, jumbo prawns, to the famous 1kg up to 2 kg char grilled lobster. A wide variety of meat dishes are served, and a variety of vegetarian meals are available. Visit the Sukinah Lounge and Bar; an Arabian lounge where a wide variety of beautifully decorated cocktails, coffes and teas are served.
Immerse yourself into a state of calm and relaxation at the Zanzibar Palace Luxury spa, with its soft aqua blue interior colours along with the antique furniture. The spa’s wellness centre has air conditioning and the interiors are unique and highlighted with one-of-a-kind art created by a local artist.
