See where an elephant stopped to browse, where a leopard scratched a tree or a pangolin rolled into a ball. Accompanied by an armed game scout and taking careful note of the wind to mask any scent. There’s nothing like seeing lion tracks or the giant footprint of an elephant to make guests relish the comforts of camp. The area is home to 60 mammals and over 400 bird species, making it one of the top birding destinations in the world.
The South Luangwa National Park is known as the home of the walking safari and all camps offer walks. Enjoy a box lunch under a tree or next to a lagoon, take a siesta, or simply spend a lazy couple of hours reading a book with the fascinating animals and landscape all around you.
Spend the day exploring South Luangwa National Park with your guide. South Luangwa is Zambia's premier park. Many places are claimed to be "one of the remaining wilderness areas" or "one of the last wildlife sanctuaries" but the South Luangwa National Park can live up to all these names and more. The Luangwa Valley is vast, remote, home to both people and a truly impressive number of animals. The South Luangwa park is 9050 sq. km with the river, its tributaries and the riverine strips being the focus of the wildlife viewing. There are the diverse habitats, from huge ox bow lagoons of varying stages of maturity, woodlands, ebony groves, grassland and thickets, that host truly impressive numbers of wildlife. The birdlife is also excellent with around 450 species to be seen.Accommodation: Nsefu Camp

Our Kensington Tour to Tanzania was excellent. All of our accommodations were top-notch, our flights were fantastic, and every single detail was taken care of. We were extremely impressed with how welcoming and knowledgeable our guides were.
Best trip ever. Sarah was a delight to work with and answered all of our questions and concerns professionally and courteously. It was a trip of a lifetime and everything was fantastic. Thank u Sarah and thank you Kensington
Kensington Tours gave us a wonderful trip with the best guide and accommodations. They helped us book flights to avoid long drives and answered all of our questions going above and beyond. Thank you for all your help giving my family and I a trip of a lifetime! We cannot wait to go back to Africa and do it again using Kensington!
We wanted the full safari experience and Kensington was able to deliver it. We had the perfect mix of tents and lodges and honestly can say we saw about everything we could have in our time there. Our Kensington guide Elijah was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was basically a member of the family by the end of the trip. The entire trip was planned out perfectly. Thanks to Kensington and we hope to travel with them again in the future.
We had such a tremendous trip! We covered a lot of geography, plants and animals - both aquatic and land based. Every guide we had was knowledgeable and very personable. When Grootbos and then Madikwe found out it was my husband's birthday - our guide at Grootbos "Nita" arranged a private party for him (and us) and our chef and butler at Little Madikwe, Violet and Patience, baked cupcakes and got a small group together to sing happy birthday - in English and Afrikaans! We could never have seen so much on our own. The knowledge we gained about South African people, places, animals and history made this our trip of a lifetime! Thank you!
We had the most amazing time on our trip. Very grateful to Kensington for organizing all the pick ups and details so we didn't have to think or worry - we could just enjoy ourselves. Will absolutely recommend this trip to family and friends and hope to use Kensington again in the future for our next adventure. Thanks so much!
From the minute we landed, everything was taken care of. Every driver and guide we had were very friendly and efficient. The highlight of our trip was our stay at Kapama Southern Camp, everything about this place was amazing. We were all sad to leave and would love to return there in the future. Would highly recommend booking as many people there as possible.
Madagascar is a very poor country with spotty infrastructure. We used Kensington for their knowledge of the area and their resources and we are very pleased. Our driver for the trip was very professional and knowledgeable of the area and the guide that we used for the rainforest walks was equally knowledgeable and professional. Bari, our guide, had a passion for the area and wanted to make sure we were able to get the best picture of each sighting. Franco, our driver, had a passion for his country and the sights and he was a definite asset on our trip.
Guides were incredibly well-informed and taught my wife and I about the environment, animals, and culture. Our tour would have just been commonplace, without them.
Going with Kensington Tours was a great decision. The transfers between resorts was handled very professionally and extremely smooth. I will plan my next trip to South Africa with Kensington. Money well spent!
