Chaminuka Nature Reserve

Chaminuka Nature reserve is an intimate lodge composed of thirty separate suites, each with en-suite bathrooms. Suites are air conditioning and elegantly decorated in a fusion of contemporary and traditional African themes. The lodge features two restaurant serving many organic, locally grown products. There are also several 'Insakas' – village lounge areas – surronding the property where guests can relax and enjoy panoramic views across Chaminuka's African Eden. Your sundowners will taste best at the Lupili Insaka and Deck, overlooking Lake Chitoka, from where you can watch some of the best sunsets in Africa. The lodges includes a billard room with full size snooker table, table tennis table, floodlit tennis court, swimming pool, jacuzzi as well as an artefact shop offering a collection of paintings, sculptures and traditional artefacts.

Overview

Chaminuka is a village on a hill overlooking Lake Chitoka; it is some 10,000 acres of pristine Miombo woodland and savannah. Chaminuka is ideally situated, only 20 minutes drive from Lusaka International Airport and 40 minutes from Central Lusaka. The lodge holds a private collection of contemporary African paintings and sculpture as well as traditional artefacts - some one thousand pieces - acquired from all over Africa over a period of 50 years.
