Victoria Falls River Lodge

Victoria Falls River Lodge is the first private game, luxury lodge to be set in the Zambezi National Park. This luxury tented lodge is situated on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River – so close to Victoria Falls one can see the spray in the distance. The main lodge has an open plan design and has been positioned just back from the river – in view of the elephant's natural evening route. The uninterrupted panoramic views of African sunsets and exceptional wildlife viewing makes this uniquely located lodge the ideal place from which to explore Victoria Falls as it combines the safari experience with one of the world's most famous tourist destinations.

The spacious luxury tents are set right on the banks of one of the most famous rivers in the world, the Zambezi. Each tent has been tastefully decorated in earthy hues and offers a larger than king size bed, freestanding bath, comfortable sitting area, indoor and outdoor shower and a private viewing deck where one can sit and watch the hippos wallowing. The only thing that resembles a tent in these 5 star rooms is the canvas on the outside. Family tents also offer an additional tented room, with one single and one bunk bed, where three children can sleep comfortably, allowing their parents a bit more privacy. Standard in each 'tent' are mosquito nets, a mini bar, electronic safe, fans, air conditioning and international adaptors to help make your stay as pleasant as possible.

The menus cater to all tastes and include a variety of local traditional dishes, prepared by the expert Zimbabwean Chef, ensuring that the only thing to rival the food is the spectacular view!

    Victoria Falls offers a wide variety of awe-inspiring things to do and the team at Victoria Falls River Lodge will go out of their way to organize all of your activities and to make your stay as fun-filled as possible. For the adrenalin junkie there is white water rafting, bungee jumping, gorge swinging, zip lining and helicopter flips over the Falls. If high-flying adventure isn't your thing, canoeing and fishing trips along the Zambezi or horseback safaris in the National Park may also be arranged. If it's a more cultural experience you are after, take a guided tour of the historic town or a shopping trip to the local market. At the Victoria Falls River Lodge children are invited to participate in local activities like grass weaving, bread-making and fishing.
