Somalisa Tented Camp Exterior
Day 1: Victoria Falls - Hwange National Park
Includes private transfer between the Victoria Falls airport and your lodge.
Upon arrival you will recieve all of your neccessary documents for your trip which contains a detailed personalized itinerary, maps, and a 24 hour concierge service (for restaurant reservations, spa treatments, child minders, day tours etc).
Depart this morning after breakfast for Hwange, Zimbabwe’s most famous National Park.
Home to countless elephant, numerous lion prides and rare antelope such as sable and roan, it offers excellent game spotting opportunities around the many waterholes found throughout the Park. Your stay includes two game drives daily with highly qualified rangers as well as bush walk options.
Accommodation: Somalisa Acacia Camp Somalisa Acacia Camp is situated on the eastern side of Hwange National Park. Somalisa Camp is an authentic bush camp which consists of just six elegant canvas tents each of which lies hidden amongst a grove of camelthorn acacias (Acacia erioloba).

Day 2: Hwange National Park
Once a royal hunting ground of the Zulu warrior King Mzilikazi, the park was proclaimed in 1929. Hwange boasts a tremendous selection of wildlife with over 100 species of mammals, 400 species of birds, 100 species of trees and shrubs.

Day 3: Hwange National Park - Mana Pools
This morning you'll fly to Mana Pools via Bumi Hills. Flight departs at 09:05 arriving at 11:55. Luggage is restricted to 20kg per person.
Game drives generally head out in the early morning and late afternoon when temperatures are cooler. Mana Pools is renowned for large numbers of elephant, buffalo, hippo and eland, especially in the winter when they concentrate along the river. Predators such as lion, leopard and wild dog are all found in the area. Birdlife is superb, particularly for both mopane woodland and riverine species with numerous local specials like Collared Palm-Thrush, Racket-tailed Roller, Purple-banded Sunbird and Black-throated Wattle-Eyes.
Accommodation: Kanga Bush Camps Kanga Bush Camp is located in a private concession at the Mana Pools National Park, only a 45 minutes game drive away from the Zambezi River. It is a mobile tented camp with cozy beds that can readily accommodate largers groups upon request. Mana Pools is a truly remote park; situated in the extreme north of Zimbabwe on the Zambezi River far from any major town or human settlement. This park has some of the most spectacular river scenery and game-viewing. The opportunity to get close to game coming to the Zambezi to drink, is superb.

Day 4: Mana Pools

The mystical Zambezi River forms the northern border of Mana Pools. The river and natural forces have carved their way into the land, creating a wide variety of habitats - open floodplains, mopane woodland and riverine forest with the mountains of the Rift Valley escarpment. Head out into the waters today and view game from a whole other persective as you glide through the waters.

Day 5: Mana Pools - Victoria Falls
Mana means ‘four’ in Shona, which refers to the four large permanent pools formed by the middle Zambezi. These 2,500 square kilometres of river create islands, sandbanks and pools which are bordered by forests. One of the least developed National Parks in Southern Africa, Mana Pools has the country’s biggest concentration of hippopotamuses and crocodiles and in dry season there is a large mammal populations of elephant and buffalo.
This morning you'll fly to Victora Falls via Bumi Hills and Hwange. Flight departs at 12:15 arriving at 16:20. Luggage is restricted to 20kg per person.

This Zambezi River dinner cruise is a superb way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the River. In the summer months, you start off under the darkening pink and orange skies of the sunset and you may well see the hippo and crocodile returning to the river banks for the night. Watch as the surrounding trees fill with birds, as they settle to rest. While you cruise along, you can enjoy a light dinner of salads, fresh bread rolls, chicken, beef and vegetables, as well as deserts, tea, coffee, beer, wine and soft drinks.There are great photo opportunities against often-spectacular African sunsets.

Day 6: Victoria Falls
Start your day with a guided tour of the Falls by foot, a sight that never fails to impress. Waterproof clothing is provided for the drenching spray as you approach via the Devil’s Cataract, one of the best vantage points. Enjoy a tour where you will have the opportunity to see the falls from several vantage points. This afternoon, you will have the chance to sign up for one of many optional activities that this area has to offer, including helicopter flights over the Falls, elephant back safaris, lion cub encounters, jet boating and a tour of a local village and the craft market.

Travel tips of Zimbabwe
VISA/PASSPORT
A passport, visa, return ticket, and adequate funds are required. U.S. and Canadian citizens traveling to Zimbabwe for tourism, business, or transit can obtain a visa at the airports and border ports-of-entry, or in advance by contacting the Embassy of Zimbabwe. Processing generally takes 8 working days along with a visa processing fee of approximately $100 for a Single Entry Visa and $150 for a Double Entry Visa. Prices will fluctuate and range from $50 for US citizens to $110 for Canadian citizens.
Please note obtaining a visa is your responsibility. These requirements change often and therefore it is best that you check with the embassy of Zimbabwe for the most up to date visa information.

Health insurance is essential. Medical facilities are poor quality. We recommend that you see a health-care provider who specializes in Travel Medicine. The doctor or health-care provider will determine what vaccinations and medication you will need, depending on factors such as your health and immunization history, areas of the country you will be visiting, and planned activities. - Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.
