Amankora Gangtey (4*)

The eight suites are identical to those of Amankora Thimphu, offering an open plan bedroom and bathing area. The design combines wood panelling and chocolate brown walls, traditional bukhari, terrazzo-clad bath, shower, vanity and daybed offering views across the valley. Lodge accommodations and guest facilities are housed in one structure with a combined living and dining room offering views of the Phobjikha valley through floor-to-ceiling windows. Suites have individual climate controls which allows guest the freedom to choose what temperature they are most comfortable in.

Amankora Gangtey, like all of the Aman properties provides guest with a memorable dining experience by combining unobstructed, picturesque views with fantastic service and delicious cuisine. Menu option vary from traditional Bhutanese cuisine to the more familiar westernized meals. Where possible the culinary staff uses the freshest local produce to enhance not only the flavour, but the entire experience.

Stays often begin with a walk through the Gangtey village before visiting the altars and ramparts of the massive Goemba. Numerous nature walks and treks are offered throughout the valley’s varied terrain. Amankora Gangtey also offers two massage treatment rooms and changing area. This region of Bhutan is an excellent hiking location which can vary in difficulties.
