Welcome to Bhutan’s first designer boutique hotel. The word "Kisa" means “where peace prevails” and is the ideal name for this tranquil location. This family owned hotel, like all family owned hotels, guest can be assured of personalized service and individual care, as opposed to being just a room number like in some of the other hotel chains. Hotel Kisa opened its doors on the 1st of October 2008, and has since been welcoming honored guests, creating an atmosphere that is unforgettable.
The minute you step through the front doors you become more than an honored guest; you become a part of the Kisa family. Keeping in mind that there is enough to worry about when traveling in a strange new place, we have our young, energetic and eager to serve staff that will help to make your stay most comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We truly hope you find your own personal peace at Kisa and happiness in Bhutan.
With only 35 rooms the emphasis is on modern elegance and traditional service. An informal and inviting ambience has been created by the choice of soft and warm colors in fabrics and furnishings used throughout the hotel. All our rooms are equipped with 32” Flat screen TV with cable and satellite channels, an electric kettle, personal electronic safes, hairdryer, 24 hour room service, laundry service, wireless internet service, car and coach parking and 24 hour hotel security.
Kisa's Restaurant has become the talk of the town ever since guests started tasting the delicious cuisine offered. For breakfast guest can choose from either traditional muesli and red rice porridge or American style options. For lunch and dinner, guest can choose from a menu consisting of continental, Thai, Indian, Chinese or local Bhutanese meal options. The Coffee Bar, with its spacious lounge, is the place to go where one can enjoy tasty canapés and special blends of coffee or tea during the day time hours. After hours, it turns into a well stocked bar for discerning connoisseurs who can enjoy the time tested spirits or giving the fiery traditional drinks of Bhutan a try.
Activities in and around the hotel include hiking treks, mountain biking, golf, tennis, archery, and variety of cultural village excursions.
