The Li River Retreat is located about a 25 minute walk north of Yangshuo in an isolated location overlooking the Li River. While there are more conveniently located hotels in the area, this is in fact the absolute best located to enjoy a scenic panorama of the local topography while still being able to get to town. While there are not many rooms at the Li River Retreat they are each extremely spacious with panoramic views of the Li River and surrounding karst countryside. The size of the rooms also allows for an extra bed configuration to accommodate the needs of families.

The Li River Retreat offers al fresco dining on the large terrace overlooking the river. The menu is a fine mix of quality western and local dishes ranging from steak, hamburgers and Australian meat pies to local beer fish, eggplant and rib dishes. A selection of beers and Autralian wines are available.
The Li River Retreat is a nice walking distance from downtown Yangshuo and a great base from which to embark on a morning run or bike ride.
