Start the day with a visit to Kerta Gosa, or Hall of Justice, built in 18th century in Klungkung. It is beautifully laid out within a moat and provides an exquisite example of the Klungkung style of painting and architecture which can be seen in the ceiling murals. Continue through spectacular views of terraced rice fields to Besakih temple, located on the slope of Mount Agung, Bali's highest volcano. It's called Mother Temple of Bali as it houses ancestral shrines for all Hindu Balinese and a complex of nearly 24 temples. The next stop iwill be Kintamani, where you can enjoy your lunch with a breathtaking view over the caldera lake, Danau Batur. Driving down, arrive in the bottom of a lush green valley where the Gunung Kawi temple, Bali's largest ancient monument is located. It consists of 10 rock-cut shrine memorials standing 7 meters high in sheltered niches cut into the sheer cliff face. End the tour with a stop at Goa Gajah before returning to your hotel.
Depart in the morning from your hotel and transfer to the Munduk village. Upon arrival, enjoy a beautiful trekking experience through coffee plants, cloves, cacao, and other exotic tropical plantations around the village. Your guide will give you the insight to mountain farming life and the importance of the plantations that once attracted the arrival of Europeans to the archipelago. Visit the waterfall with its refreshing breezes - a great photo opportunity. After, enjoy a short refreshment, carry on to Jatiluwih where you can enjoy a pleasant walk to discover the beautiful terrace rice fields of Jatiluwih, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After visiting Jatiluwih, stop for lunch at the G Terrace Restaurant while enjoying the lovely views over the paddy (beverages are not included). Afterwards, continue your visit to the holy site of Batukaru Temple, located on the southern slope of Batukaru Mountain.

This tour will bring you to the world's biggest Buddhist monument complex, Borobudur. Looming out of a patchwork of bottle-green paddies and swaying palm tops, this colossal Buddhist relic is one of the continent's marvels. Built around 800 A.D. after the decline of Buddhism and the shift of power to East Java, the monument was abandoned soon after its completion. For centuries the complex lay forgotten, buried under layers of volcanic ash. Climb up to the top and enjoy a wonderful view on the Menoreh mountains. Enough time is given to stroll around the complex and to discover its beauty. Afterwards, continue to visit the nearby temples such as Candi pawon, Mendut. Around lunchtime return back to the hotel.
This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Prambanan village to visit the Prambanan Temples. The hindu temple complex was erected in the 9th century while Java was ruled by the Hindu Sanjayas Old Mataram in the north. The complex consists of 4 major temples/shrines such as Candi Shiva Mahadeva, Candi Brahma and Candi Vishnu, Candi Nandi as well as the Candi Sewu. The Ramayana story is carved into the walls of the temples. Enough time is given to stroll around and to observe the beautiful carvings.
Transfer from Yogyakarta to the airport in Semarang with a private vehicle and English speaking guide. The transfer is approximately 2 hours.

Upon your arrival at Pangkalanbun Airport you will meet your local guide for a transfer to the pier for a boat cruise to Rimba Lodge in Tanjung Puting.
Spend the afternoon at leisure, watching the canopy and lower branches of the dense forest in search for the local wildlife. The local Proboscis Monkeys are most often spotted in the tree systems alongside the river.
After breakfast you will board the klotok to travel up river for about 2 hours and then up a side creek to Camp Leakey where the older orangutans used to be reintroduced into the rain forest. En route you will stop at Pondok Tanguy, the former rehabilitation centre for the new ex-captive orangutans. At Camp Leakey you will have opportunity to trek into the rain forest with your expert guide and the forestry rangers to appreciate the flora as well as perhaps sighting wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques, and birds. Lunch will be provided on the boat. In the afternoon you will visit the feeding station to see rehabilitated orangutans eat their lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy some time at leisure where you can explore or just relax.
After breakfast, prepare for a transfer by boat to the Kumai River harbour where a car will be waiting to take you to the airport.

"I have to admit, this was the BEST vacation I ever had. The tour was nothing less than Fantastic! The hotels were great, the guides were great, the transportation was great, the places were great, the people were great, the food was great and last but not least China, itself was out of this world. I'm so glad I booked this tour and would recommend this to anyone. Thanks so much for all your help, your interest and your recommendations. Steve in China was so attentive, he called constantly to make sure everything was fine. We really had a fabulous time and even my jaded husband who normally only seems to care about where the nearest golf course is, was impressed and had a wonderful time.
