The Watazen Ryokan is a 15 minute walk from the Gion area, a 2-minute walk from Nishiki Market, only a 10-minute walk from Shijo Subway Station and Honno-ji Temple. JR Kyoto Train Station is a 10-minute taxi ride away.
The Japanese standard ensuite offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation with spacious public baths. The guestrooms feature tatami (woven straw) floors, futon beds and a tea maker. During the day guests at Ryokan Watazen can enjoy the roomy seating area, and at night hotel staff prepares the Japanese futon beds. Some rooms have private bathing facilities.
At Watazen Ryokan a Japanese or Western breakfast is available in the banquet hall and offers gorgeous garden views. Traditional multi-course (kaiseki) dinners are served in guests’ rooms.
