Amidst the beautiful Takayama highlands in the southwest of Takayama city, Hotel Associa Takayama Resort soars 640 meters above sea level. All of its 290 spacious rooms and suites command superb and unobstructed views of the northern Japanese Alps. The resort prides itself on providing the finest accommodation in the city. It is also the first hotel in Takayama to have it's own hot spring bath.
This resort has 290 extra-large rooms, all with private baths and dramatic views of Japan's Northern Alps. Rooms with special facilities for female guests are also available.
3 restaurants and 1 bar serve a variety of world cuisines and refreshments as well as local delicacies and sakes. Enjoy authentic French cuisine in an elegant setting at the Rosiere restaurant, and Kyoto-style Japanese dishes and Takayama specialties at the Ka-un Japanese restaurant. Famous liquors from around the world, as well as locally brewed Japanese sake, are available at the Estmare bar.
This is perhaps the most talked-about facility in town. Imagine an entire wing dedicated to hot spring baths! Accessible from the 6th floor of both the Alps Wing and Park Wing towers, take a slow walk down an all- tatami aisle, bow under the no-ren (Japanese curtains) and approach baths fit for the gods! Hotel Associa Takayama Resort has invested more than USD7 million and eight months to complete it's spa wing Tenbounoyu, which literally means 'bath with a panoramic view'. The 5th floor ('bou'-no-yu or 'overlooking bath') and 7th floor ('Ten'-no-yu or 'Sky bath') are dedicated to more than ten indoor and outdoor hot spring baths. The hotel designates one floor to one gender and changes the rotation everyday. Thus, during a two-days/one-night stay, one is able to enjoy both baths. The 6th floor features the Yushoku Raku Terrace Restaurant, as well as a hot spring bath to sooth tired feet.
