Hotel de la Paix Luang Prabang stands upon a UNESCO site in the former royal capital of Laos. Once a Governor’s mansion, a garrison and briefly a jail, the century old structure has been restored to luxury. Today, 23 spacious Suites await, each with a walled rear garden and a terrace overlooking a sun-kissed courtyard; some with their own expansive and very private swimming pools. Hotel de la Paix Luang Prabang is utterly unique; a boutique resort that is a World Heritage treasure, a colonial moment preserved in amber, and a showcase of contemporary design. It’s the jewel in the town that time forgot.
The Garden Suites at our luxury hotel in Laos range from 46-56sqm, excluding the private garden and are sited throughout the complex, blending seamlessly into the heritage architecture. High ceilings, cosy sitting areas, in-suite private gardens for alfresco dining, sun lounges and daybeds complement these suites. The luxurious bathrooms are well thought out, each with twin vanities, a dressing area, shower, toilet and large bathtub.
Located at the four corner posts of our heritage resort in Luang Prabang, Pool Suites come with spacious private gardens for dining, their own 7 x 2.6 meter private pool, outdoor terraces with daybeds and sun loungers. Each suite encompasses modern amenities in which to laze or comfortably work. Well-appointed bathroom facilities include twin vanities, a dressing area, shower, toilet and separate bathtub. As these suites are located in the corner, they feature a very large “L” shaped private garden area.
At Hotel de la Paix, our main dining outlet is the terrace area of our Sabai lounge where we serve all-day dining with an emphasis on the authentic flavours of the region that make Luang Prabang one of the most creative food destinations in Asia.
Kaipen Restaurant is located in a traditional two-storey Lao-style house, above the Ka-toke Asian Cooking School. As part of our exciting cultural centre, the fine dining restaurant serves up an exciting variety of tasty sensations prepared using only the freshest local ingredients offering views over a garden courtyard and the resort's own organic garden.
Guest can relax in the De La Paix's luxurious pool, indulge in the Spa Indochine or partake in a class at the Ka-Toke Cooking School.
