Upon check in at your hotel you will be provided with your document package. In the document package you shall receive a welcome letter, detailed itinerary, vouchers for each service, supplier contact list as well as brochures of some of the destinations you will be visiting.

Get a wild start to the day with Breakfast at Cairns Tropical Zoo. Have breakfast with a koala, a python, and other of the Zoo’s inquisitive animals. Or, for the sweet tooth try the delicious Belgian Waffles with fresh fruit, cream and ice cream. During breakfast one of the wildlife keepers will be there to answer all of your ‘wildlife’ questions. Established in 1980, Cairns Tropical Zoo is the largest and most diverse wildlife attraction in Tropical North Queensland and is set amidst six hectares of tropically landscaped gardens. Locally owned and operated, the zoo is home to hundreds of native and exotic species, many of which are indigenous to the Northern wet tropics. Cairns Tropical Zoo has broken the mould of traditional zoos by creating opportunities for you to interact with our animals. There are numerous opportunities during the day to get close, touch, feel and make some new animal friends. The zoo’s philosophy is that personal interaction with animals encourages a greater understanding of native wildlife and promotes the need to preserve their natural habitats. Come and join a local Aboriginal guide on this 2 hour bush tucker tour showcasing the traditional bush food of Central Australia. Your host will walk you through the country, and you will learn how the local people lived in such a hot desert climate, surviving on a variety of bush plants and animals. Taste a selection of the bush foods, grind native seeds and have the opportunity to talk with your Aboriginal host about desert life. The tour operates with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 12 passengers and departs Ayers Rock Resort from September 23 to March 31 at 9.00 a.m. and from April 1 to September 22 at 10.00 a.m. Please bring your own water.
The Desert Gardens (4.5*) Hotel is set amongst the magnificent ghost gums and flowering native shrubs of the Ayers Rock outback landscape. Each of the rooms feature the unique flora designs and patterns found within the Central Australian Desert. Guest will journey along shaded walkways which lead to spacious poolside rooms, some even offering spectacular views of the monolithic Uluru. Relax under the private veranda or courtyard of your room to experience what is arguably Australia’s best sunset. Travel for one hour on with Uluru Camel Tours in this spectacular desert, enjoy a close-up look at the desert environment and enjoy great views of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. From this point it is only a matter of minutes before the spectra of Uluru rises from the sand dunes to demonstrate its enormity and presence. Within your first step you are presented with a photographic opportunity of this amazing Australian icon. With Uluru looming in front of you, your guide will take you closer towards the base. The closer you wander the more you surrender to the realisation of the sheer size and magnitude of this monolith. As you drive around the base, your guide will take you to the entrance of Mutitjulu Waterhole, a semi-permanent watercourse nestled in the contours of Uluru. Here you will learn the Creation stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python) as well as a number of other stories associated with other prominent Tjukurpa (Dreaming) stories. You will see the rock art of the ancients and learn how Uluru was, and still is, a significant location for teaching young Aboriginal people about their culture. You'll then adjourn to the new Talinguru Nyakunytjaku viewing area where you can marvel at an uninterrupted view of Uluru with Kata Tjuta in the background. A return transfer to your accommodation is provided upon completion of the tour.

Set out today on an exploratory journey of the Melbourne surrounding area. Begin by departing the suburbs en-route to the Westgate Bridge for some spectacular viewing of the Port Phillip Bay area. From here, you’ll enter the volcanic western plains of Victoria, an area where the first European settlers forged their way as far as the Otway ranges, establishing large agricultural based properties and homesteads to harvest the land and develop the sheep trade industry. Next, you will head into the Geelong area to marvel at the picturesque waterfront of Corio Bay. This was an important port area during the famous “gold-rush” era of the 19th century. Travel across the fertile sheep and dairy farmlands en-route to the cooler temperate rainforests of the Otway Ranges National Park. Travel only a short drive away to the “Shipwreck Coast” where you’ll hear the tales of heroes and follies, outlining the attempt made by captains whom tried navigating this wild coastline, some ending in triumph whilst others…well the proof remains rusting is the ocean sea-bed. Visit the famed shipwreck site at “Loch Ard” and hear the story of how two survivors struggled ashore amidst the wreckage. Marvel at the monolithic site of the 12 Apostle Rock formations which occupy this dramatic coastal boardwalk. "We had the best time you could imagine and it was all based on your planning-thank-you so so much!!
Every hotel was located just where we would have wanted-all so lovely and we loved the buffet breakfasts!! The Grace is a beautiful hotel and everyone was very helpful-we could walk to the main areas and Darling Harbor and we just loved being in Sydney-Norm even got in a game of golf!! Every tour was wonderful. We are so glad you switched us from the large bus Blue Mountain tour to the boutique tour-we heard others talk of the Blue Mountain tour in that it was a long drive, crowded and they did not seem to have a great day. We LOVED our boutique tour-we had a super driver (Cliff)who really really tried to find every animal in the wild he could-we saw kangaroos, emu, wombats and even a koala-it was a wonderful day-we got back about 11;30 pm and because of that we saw so many of the nocturnal animals-he was so accommodating-just a great day!!
The Pullman in Cairns was just gorgeous-and we could walk to the water-we had a perfect(calm!!) day on the reef and we loved the trip to the rainforest-all in all a wonderful few days there. Our weather for the whole trip was also perfect!!! How did you do that!!??!!
We thank-you so much, Louise, for helping us-you take full credit for this holiday and we so often spoke of you there “thanks to Louise for another great day” we would say!! Every tour worked out perfectly-the flights were just great and the timing super-and we really felt you listened to what we ‘thought ‘ we wanted to do and you just seemed to know what would be right for us. We packed some Canada pins and tee shirts and gave them to our tour drivers and they seemed to love that!!
We came home happy and relaxed and so thankful-I will send you a few pictures for certain.

We sure saw a lot, everyday was a new adventure. We especially loved the Rees Hotel in Queenstown, and the condo in Hawaii was over the top.

"This was our third long haul vacation with Kensington and was truly fantastic trip, probably the best to date. The balance with adventures and activities in New Zealand followed by a restfull couple of days in Bora Bora was just right. I cannot say enough about the local support team who were following up to adjust our schedule following the earthquake in Christchurch right into the evening of Christmas Eve, all changes were made efficiently with the addedd bonus of being able to do a wilderness jet boat tour outside of Queeenstown with our extra day. Many thanks for all you help - we will not hesitate to use Kensington for our future travel adventures

"It was a great trip. The Medina was great, centrally located and helpful staff. We enjoyed Christmas Mass at the Cathedral with the Cardinal celebrating and the famed boys choir singing. The dinner cruise was fine despite the rain. The driver's tip about the ferries, being a good way to see more of the harbour without great expense was a good one. We especially enjoyed the tour to the Blue Mountains, wonderful lunch at the quaint lodge, and Fetherdale Wild life Sanctuary (fantastic). The accommodations at Uluru were fine and the activities were great, especially the camel ride. We loved the resort at Kewarra. Wonderful service and accommodations and grounds. We spotted a mama and baby Wallabee living in the jungle just outside the suite! We ended up booking 2 days of diving and also a tour of Mossman and Daintree. Wonderful trip. The food was great everywhere but extremely expensive! The locals were always polite and helpful and often amusing! Thanks for all your help! Laura"
