Featuring a separate living area, spacious bedroom and multiple balconies, the Deluxe Suite offers a modern neutral palette accented by colors and textures from Anangu creation stories and the desert landscape outside. Luxurious features such a spa bath and, of course, Sails in the Desert’s aptly named ‘Ahh’ Bed, are complimented by local Indigenous artwork and artefacts. The Deluxe Suite measures 77 square meters (75 square feet), the main terrace 29 square meters (75 square feet) and the secondary terraces 7 square meters (75 square feet)in size.

Situated at the premium Sails in the Desert Hotel, a personalized breakfast experience begins with an international menu and is completed by an egg and pancake station that allows the guest to define their very own signature dish. Ilkari continues to offer a tantalizing menu of international flavors at dinner. An array of salads, vegetables, antipasto delights, pastas, Asian favorites, roasts and a grill selection abound with the chef’s signature dishes enlivened by Indigenous flavors.
For centuries travel has been defined by the wind. Taking on the Pitjantjatjara name for wind, Walpa Lobby Bar instead provides a sense that your journey is complete – a sense of arrival. A relaxed setting for coffee and cake, casual lunch or dinner, a pre-dinner drink or night cap after a sunset tour, Walpa Lobby Bar is contemporary and welcoming. The menu features a selection of Mediterranean tapas style dishes, salads, sandwiches, steaks, pastas, burgers and fish and chips.
For the Anangu people the moon or, pira, is a guide through the seasons. At Sails in the Desert Pira is a sun-kissed, poolside setting for casual dining or a relaxed holiday cocktail. A menu of Mediterranean, tapas style dishes and classic Australian steaks, burgers and fish and chips delights. A Children’s menu is available. The bar is open for light meals or drinks from 10.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m. and seasonally for dinner.
