Recently opened Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa (5*) is a luxury conservation-based resort located in Australia's Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage area. A private pool features its own deck surrounded by a garden of native plants and shrubs, and a spacious verandah adjoins it. Inside, a central, double-sided fireplace of local sandstone separates the bedroom from the lounge. Great attention to detail has been paid to ensure the fixtures and fittings are reminiscent of the Federation period; right down to the last hinge, light switch and glass blown shade. Warm, earthy tones and thick, neutral linens, are complimented by locally-crafted wooden furniture that typifies the lodge's timeless style and elegance.Suites feature the latest in entertainment and Internet technologies, while thoughtful extras, such as binoculars, let you get up close and personal with the wildlife without having to leave the deep-cushioned comfort of the sofa. An ideal family retreat or perfect luxury honeymoon hideaway, each of the three Wollemi Suites presents as a private lodge. With a large living room, separate lounge and dining areas and two spacious bedroom suites, Wollemi Suites offer guests the convenience of two ensuite bathrooms. Each suite takes full advantage of the expansive views and backdrop of imposing escarpments. The suites are thoughtfully arranged to provide families with sufficient space as well as separate areas, to be together, or find a peaceful nook to curl up and enjoy a good book. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, while the second suite is furnished with a king-size zipper bed, which can easily be separated to create a twin arrangement. There is only one Wolgan Suite and, with a total area of 410 square metres it is the epitome of space and luxury. A totally self-contained lodge, the Wolgan Suite is set away from the main resort, amidst a huge and richly landscaped garden with private terraces and swimming pool. It is the ideal retreat for a get-together with friends or family in stunning surroundings, or the perfect sanctuary for an indulgent escape with a special someone. An expansive living and dining room as well as a beautifully equipped gourmet kitchen make cooking and entertaining a true pleasure. Two capacious bedroom suites each have their own ensuite bathroom, and private staff quarters or third guest room ensures a level of luxury found only at the pinnacle of exclusive accommodations.
Guests can drop in at the Country Kitchen for a light snack of coffee and toast if the morning calls for a change from breakfast in the Wolgan Dining Room. Or they can enjoy a mid-morning break until it's time for lunch, which can be selected from daily specials on the blackboard. Kitchen specialties such as a regional ploughman’s platter or antipasto, salted white bait fritter served with a crispy salad, or Butternut Pumpkin with Black Cod Tortellini are all likely choices as well as our seasonal daily choices from our blackboard.
Breakfast begins the day with a delicious spread of favourites, including Muesli Parfait featuring seasonal berries, freshly baked pastries, or breads with homemade preserves and local cheeses. Dinner is equally relaxed with a daily changing menu showcasing high-quality regional and seasonal produce prepared simply and expertly to let the natural flavours shine.
When special occasions call for seclusion, our private dining room seating up to 12 is available for guests to use. Elegantly appointed, the room features a central polished table and comfortable, stylishly upholstered chairs. Large picture windows look out upon reserve grounds, and meals can be enjoyed at guests' leisure. Hospitality, as always, is warm and unobtrusive. In addition, guests are welcome to dine in the privacy of their suites, with room service delivered 24 hours a day. Private deck dining offers a memorable experience, where dinner is served by a personal waiter in the romantic setting of a guests' own private deck under the stars.
