The InterContinental Tahiti Resort has long been rated the top hotel on the island of Tahiti. It is located alongside the lagoon with a view of Tahiti’s sister island, Moorea. The InterContinental Tahiti Resort has a total of 258 accommodations including overwater bungalows and rooms spread over 8 buildings of three levels. It's the perfect place to begin a visit to French Polynesia.
Tahiti is the largest of the French Polynesian islands and the gateway to the archipelago. Nestled in a sumptuous garden setting covering 12 hectares, the resort boasts two superb infinity pools and offers an extensive range of activities. The hotel is a short 2 miles from the airport.

Each of the Motu Overwater Bungalows are elegantly decorated and feature beautiful traditional furnishing. All of the bungalows boast the following amenities, a terrace or a private balcony, a bathroom with bath tub and shower, an individually controlled air conditioning system, a flat screen Cable TV, a direct dial international phone, an Internet connection (wireless in public areas), a private safe, a refrigerator restocked on request, some 110V/220V outlets, tea and coffee making facilities, a hair dryer, an iron and ironing board.
Te Tiare Restaurant is the heart of the hotel, offering all-day dining, renowned dinner shows, authentic Tahitian ambiance and second-to-none views of the pool, waterfalls and mountains over Moorea. The open kitchen stays busy creating light snacks, healthy salads, fresh fish specialties and specially selected meats from New Zealand. On show nights, guests fill amphitheater-style seating to watch traditional dance performances at the water’s edge. Le Lotus Restaurant is tucked away in a secluded spot at the far end of the resort. It is an overwater classic, known for its gourmet and degustation menus (chef-selected tasting menu). An association with the Michelin-rated L'Auberge de l'Ill has inspired dishes such as La Palette du Lotus with Mi-cuit of Foie Gras and Swordfish with Avocado Gaspacho and Polynesian Shell Tartare. Fine French wines, soft piano music and a location on the lagoon make this the most romantic setting on the island.
An outdoor swimming pool as well as a sports recreation and sports court is available to all guests. Many other activities are available off site including a fitness center, golf, sailing, water sports, or scuba diving.
