Ocean Princess Ship
Day 3: Papeete - French Polynesia Cruise
Meet your driver for a port transfer with private vehicle and driver.
Welcome aboard!
Take some time to get settled in to your stateroom, and enjoy a leisurely evening on board as you meet some of your fellow cruisemates at your welcome dinner. You'll overnight in the port, allowing time for exploration in Papeete tomorrow before you set out on your cruise.
Port charges are included in your itinerary fare.
Accommodation: Ocean Princess (10N) Ocean Princess is one of the 'Small Ships of Princess', reserved for sailing some of the most exotic destinations in the world. Onboard you’ll bond with a smaller community of just 680 passengers as you indulge in the warm, welcoming service for which Princess Cruises is renowned. Celebrate a special occasion or treat yourself to an incredible meal, freshly prepared in one of our elegant restaurants, the Sterling Steakhouse or Sabatini’s, featuring menus your taste buds won’t soon forget. The ship offers the deluxe amenities you’d expect from a first class hotel: from 24-hour room service to chocolates on your pillow at night.
Day 4: Papeete - French Polynesia Cruise
Papeete ("water from a basket") is the capital of French Polynesia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean. The commune (municipality) of Papeete is located on the island of Tahiti. Traveling tourists arrive and depart Papeete via cruise ship at Papeete Harbor or domestic airline at Faa'a International Airport, which was completed and opened in 1962. The downtown features some fine churches and a market, though Tahiti is most known for its secluded ocean beaches.
Accommodation: Ocean Princess (10N)
Huahine
Day 5: Huahine - French Polynesia Cruise
Huahine is an island located among the Society Islands, in French Polynesia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean. It is part of the Leeward Islands group (Iles sous le Vent). The island is 16 km in length, with a maximum width of 13 km. It is made up of two main islands surrounded by a fringing coral reef with several motu. Huahine Nui (Big Huahine) lies to the north and Huahine Iti (Little Huahine) to the south connected by a small bridge.
Accommodation: Ocean Princess (10N)
Onboard Spa
Day 6: French Polynesia Cruise
Today is a full day spent at sea as you cruise toward Rangiroa. At the on-board Lotus Spa you can opt to get pampered from head to toe for an hour of bliss, or the entire day. Or, spend some time libering up with a personal trainer in the world-class floating gym.
Accommodation: Ocean Princess (10N)
Rangiroa Atoll
Day 7: Rangiroa - French Polynesia Cruise
Rangiroa (meaning Vast Sky in Tuamotuan) or Te Kokota (Hyades in Maori), is the largest atoll in the Tuamotus, and one of the largest in the world (although it is smaller than Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands and Huvadhu in the Maldives). It is part of the Palliser group. The nearest atoll is Tikehau, located only 12 km to the West. It is about 355 km Northeast of Tahiti. The chief town is Avatoru, located in the northwestern part of the atoll.
Accommodation: Ocean Princess (10N)
Onboard Casino
Day 8: French Polynesia Cruise
Spend today at sea, sailing toward Raiatea, your port-of-call tomorrow. Enjoy the intimate and exciting venues aboard your ship, including the Club Bar, Tahitian Lounge, or the always-buzzing onboard Casino.
Accommodation: Ocean Princess (10N)
Raiatea
Day 9: Raiatea - French Polynesia Cruise
Raiatea is the second largest of the Society Islands in French Polynesia. The proper spelling of the name, rarely used though, in the Tahitian language is Ra’iatea, meaning bright sky. The chief town on Raiatea is Uturoa, administrative center for the Leeward Islands (French Îles Sous-le-vent). Ra'iatea is widely regarded as the 'center' of Polynesia and it is likely that the organised migrations to Hawaii, Aoteroa (New Zealand) and other parts of East Polynesia started here.
Accommodation: Ocean Princess (10N)
Bora Bora
Day 10: Bora Bora - French Polynesia Cruise
Bora Bora is an island in the Leeward group of the Society Islands of French Polynesia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean. The island, located about 230 kilometres (140 mi) northwest of Papeete, is surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef. In the center of the island are the remnants of an extinct volcano rising to two peaks, Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu. Overwater bungalows are a standard feature of most Bora Bora resorts. The island is famous for snorkelling and scuba diving in and around its lagoon.
Accommodation: Ocean Princess (10N)
Bora Bora Peaks
Day 11: Bora Bora - French Polynesia Cruise
Another full day on Bora Bora, often considered the true "paradise" of French Polynesia, and even the entire South Pacific. Relax on the beach or feel free to explore inward. This is truly a magnificent place.
Accommodation: Ocean Princess (10N)
Moorea
Day 12: Moorea - Papeete - French Polynesia Cruise
Moorea is a high island in French Polynesia, part of the Society Islands, 17 km (roughly 9mi) northwest of Tahiti. Because of its stunning scenery and accessibility to Papeete, Moorea is particularly popular as a honeymoon destination. The island vaguely resembles a fork, with its two nearly symmetrical bays opening to the north side of the island: Cook's (or Paopao) Bay and Oponohu Bay.
After a short cruise from Moorea, you'll arrive back in Papeete this evening, for overnight on board.
Accommodation: Ocean Princess (10N) Day 13: Papeete
