Waiheke Island Coast
Breakfast on the Beach Lodge
Day 1: Auckland - Waiheke Island
A private vehicle with driver will provide a transfer between the Auckland Airport and Hotel.
Waiheke Island, where anything is possible. It's 92 square kilometres of sandy beaches, vineyards, native bush settings pristine coastline, olive groves and laid back seaside villages' only 35 minutes cruise from downtown Auckland. There is so much to see, do and explore, try sea kayaking, mountain biking or take a scenic coastal walk. Be introduced to the island on the Fullers Waiheke Explorer Tour or indulge in the Fullers Waiheke Vineyard Tour, and with the large variety of accommodation available, the island is a superb holiday destination for day outing.

Day 2: Waiheke Island
Wine tasting at Obsidian vineyard. Obsidian is a boutique winery, established in 1993, with the single objective of producing a great Bordeaux-style red. They now produce ten varietal wines, including several award winners. Their flagship wine is a classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. In recent years new wines introduced to its portfolio include Syrah, Viognier, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Montepulciano. The latest wine to be introduced is the Spanish-styleTempranillo, which has already impressed wine writers. The Obsidian Cab/Merlot 2008
Visit Kennedy Point vineyard where they produce Syrah, Merlot, Malbec, Chardonnay and Rosé wines. You will also taste manuka and pohutukawa honey, estate–grown olive oil, and New Zealand avocado oil. Their Syrah recently won the International Syrah Trophy, the New Zealand Syrah Trophy, the New Zealand Red Wine Trophy and the Auckland Syrah Trophy at the International Wine Challenge.
Wine tasting at Jurassic Ridge. This is a new vineyard open to the public producing hand-crafted, high quality Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Gris as well as Montepulciano which was awarded a Trophy in the 2010 at one of our national wine tasting competitions. All their wines are made entirely on estate from grapes grown in their north-facing boutique vineyard at Church Bay. Spend two more hours Wine tasting and lunch at Te Whau. You will be transferred back to your accommodation at around 330pm.

Take the morning ferry back to Auckland Downtown.

Day 4: Napier
Hawke's bay is somewhat of the garden of Eden - delicious foods, fruit and wine are all produced here. Explore the culinary and cultural aspects of the Bay today on a private guided tour and meet a Maori elder and artists. Meet these wonderful characters, hear their stories and have fun. Walk amongst the diverse collection of art deco buildings in Napier. Visit creative producers on their land where you can taste, touch and smell the myriad of tantalizing products they make from the deep soil. Visit a rural coastal settlement and talk with a Maori who can provide a spiritual insight into her culture and can clearly demonstrate what it is that makes this indigenous people so special. She will give you a cultural welcome to her land. Taste beautifully crafted local wines at prestigious wineries and meet some of the personalities involved in making the wines. Enjoy meeting fascinating artists in their studios and view their paintings, sculptures or pots. Walk in the scenic Hawke’s Bay rural countryside, either on a large sheep and cattle station beside a river, a stunning historic country garden, or remote coastal beach or in native bush or visit an orchard. Enjoy lunch at the Winery or an epicurean lunch at a beach house overlooking the sea.

Today you will explore Milford Sounds stunning fiord from the air and on the water. Trip Terms & Conditions
- Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $350). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure.
- Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.
- Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
- Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
