Breakfast on the Beach Lodge is a Five Star luxury waterfront boutique lodge on beautiful Waiheke Island, in the Hauraki Gulf. This beach lodge is located in a quiet setting on the bay, yet is in close proximity to ferries, shops, cafes and award winning restaurants and wineries. The lodge was built in 2007 with features catering to guests from all across the globe. The contemporary design and careful consideration of all environmental aspects have resulted in a very open, warm and stunning layout. Each room has an uninterrupted sea view, and boasts beautiful en-suites, open lounges and an atrium area. The use of modern electronics ensures all the conveniences of Internet and entertainment media are integrated throughout the building.
Four luxury guest rooms feature large en-suites, an open lounge and atrium area that look out over the sea. All rooms are only 30 metres from the beachfront. Three of the guest rooms are fitted with king beds (including a bridal suite), with the one room equipped with two queen beds. Each room is set to cater your every need, and features fine imported bed linen and feather/down mattress covers, large flat screen TV, Sky channels and DVD, CD player, under floor heating, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary wine and non-alcoholic drinks in room fridge, massage and spa treatments available (prior booking required), bathrobes and exquisite toiletries, hair dryer, personal safe, broadband Internet access, fresh flowers, artwork and sculptures by local artists, and daily newspaper available. Rooms are serviced daily. Turn down service includes port, cheese and chocolates to enjoy while relaxing in the evening and watching the twinkling lights across the sea.
Complimentary wine, fruit and nibbles are in your room on arrival, and you are invited to enjoy wine and canapés with your hosts and other guests in the early evening. Gourmet cooked breakfast is served in the waterfront dining room, alfresco in the garden area, or in the privacy of your own room (continental breakfast is also available). Picnic hampers are available for day trips to the beach, bush or Waiheke vineyards. The lodge is also within walking distance of excellent Waiheke cafes and restaurants.
The dining and lounge area is an architectural delight comprising floor-to-roof glass looking north and south, a three-sided gas fire and adjoining library. The library holds the latest best-sellers, magazines, local publications and a wide selection of board-games, DVDs and CDs. Large sliding doors open out to the petanque court and outdoor garden areas where you can unwind in the hot outdoor spa, sip wine, listen to music and plan the next day's activities, or rest in the hammock under a tree with a good book. There is a free access internet station in the library and all guest rooms are wired to enable easy access with your own laptop, or wireless broadband is available for those who want to surf from the comfort of their hammock.
