Xandari Resort & Spa is a tropical paradise of 24 individually designed villas nestled on a 40 acre plantation overlooking the Central Valley of Costa Rica, and only 20 minutes from the San Jose International Airport. Each spacious villa, surrounded by gardens, has a large view terrace for enjoying the sunset and lights of the valley at night, plus a walled–in terrace for privacy and solitude. The indoor/outdoor restaurant features a healthy continental and Costa Rican menu. Many of the fruits and vegetables are from the local organic greenhouse, orchard and gardens. Dine in intimate and elegant simplicity while enjoying a panoramic view of the Central Valley. The spa village is set in a tropical garden and includes 5 private palm–roofed Jalapas with Jacuzzis and a picturesque view of the Central Valley. The Prima Plus Villas are located either on the East or the West Hill. The villas located on the East Hill feature a sleeping alcove with a king bed plus a sofa bed in the main area. The villas located on the West Hill are stand-alone individual villas with 2 full beds plus a sofa bed, and a larger private garden area.

These spacious villas are equipped with a king bed, 2 sofa beds, and a larger private garden. Villa 26 is unique in that it has a separate bedroom and is designed to accommodate the handicapped. All other villas are open plan. Located on the West Hill.

The Ultra Villas are stand-alone individual villas with a spacious interior, with either a king bed or 2 full beds. Located on the East Hill.

Each villa is in buildings of 2 or 4 villas, with either a king bed or 2 full beds. All are located on the East Hill. Villa 20 is the only round Jalapa villa, with a dramatic high palm roof, king bed, and a garden view (instead of a central valley view). Located on the East Hill.

The Star Villa's are Xandari’s newest and largest villa which includes 2 bedrooms, a salon and dining area, full kitchen and an office/study with internet. The covered terrace overlooks the spectacular Sunset Pool and has a panoramic view of the Central Valley. A high wall and entrance gate enclose a gorgeous, spacious garden.

    Enjoy strolling through the onsite botanical gardens and view a wide variety of extraordinary tropical plants, some marked with their popular and technical names. Marvel at some locally produced outdoor sculpture. Enjoy heading out into the wilderness for some guided hikes. Hike more than 4km of trails through the natural tropical jungle towards the river where you can admire five waterfalls, with one reaching a height of over 40ft. long!

    The Spa Village at Xanari features 5 jalapas with hot tubs on the hillside, where guests can enjoy a variety of treatments including massage, wrap, facial and/or private soak, all which take place in private jalapas.

    The pools at Xanari are really designed for swimming enthusiasts. Both pools are heated and are 60 ft. long lap pools, one with an outdoor Jacuzzi. The newest Sunset Pool is 125 ft. long and boasts a stunning view of the Central Valley.
