Take some time to get settled in to your stateroom, and explore your cruise vessel. Tonight's welcome dinner will make an ideal opportunity to meet some of your fellow cruisemates. You'll overnight at port.

Port charges for your multi-day cruise are included within your fare.

Your ship will remain at port in Havana today, allowing you to explore the city. There will be an opportunity to set out on an optional shared city tour being offered in the morning. This evening you'll set sail to Maria La Gorda (Bahia de Corrientes) overnight.

Early in the afternoon, the your ship will reach the Bahia de Corrientes, a site of stunning beauty for its crystal clear waters and pristine beaches and wildlife. Also called Maria la Gorda, this unique Biosphere Reserve is today a UNESCO site. An afternoon Optional half day tour through the Peninsula will include an exposure to the tropical forest and to a swamp. Endemic species such as crocodiles will be seen in their natural habitat. Alternatively enjoy the crystal blue sea and an afternoon of swiming, snorkeling or diving. Overnight at anchor in Bahia de Corrientes.

With another day in Bahia de Corrientes, a full-day optional excursion with lunch will leave for the Pinar del Rio province, heading inland to visit the Valley of Vinales, one of Cuba's most scenic regions. You will be astonished by a unique landscape of lush vegetation and of the "magotes", dramatic rock formations and by the 18th century city of Vinales all of which contributed to make the Valley a Unesco World Heritage site. Overnight at sea to Punta Frances/Islas Juventud.

Today you reach Punta Frances in the western part of the Isle of Youth (Isla de la Juventud). It is a unique opportunity to admire the most beautiful reefs and coast line in the Caribbean. Optional snorkeling and diving activities will be on offer. Overnight at sea to Playa Giron/Bay of Pigs.

This morning you reach Playa Giron, commonly known as the Bay of Pigs, site of the unsuccessful attempt for Cuban exiles sponsored by the CIA to overthrow the Castro regime. An optional excursion offered this morning includes a boat ride on the Treasure Lake, a visit to a replica of Taino Indian Village, the famous Cocodrile breeding farm. And, since we are in the Bay of Pigs, a visit to the headquarters of the Cuban Army during the failed Bay of Pigs invasion is neccesary. Early in the afternoon you'll leave Playa Giron and sail to Cienfuegos. Arrival in Cienfuegos. Enjoy an excellent Cuban night with typical cuban shirts and hats, delicious tropical food and live music. Overnight in Cienfuegos.

Cienfuegos was first discovered by Christopher Colombus on his second voyage to the Americas and is reached through narrow straits. It is rightfully known as the pearl of the South. It was founded by the French in 1819 and it has kept a homogeneous architectural character which earned the city a UNESCO listing with a strong French neo classic style. An optional city tour excursion will be offered in the morning, followed by an optional excursion to the colonial city of Trinidad in the afternoon.

This morning you'll be bid farewell by the captain and crew as you disembark from your ship.

Join your shared excursion bus trip back to Havana, which includes a free stop in Santa Clara, home of Che Guevara. After a visit to a museum and an early lunch, you'll continue to Havana for an approximate 3pm arrival.
