Apaneca is a municipality in the Ahuachapán department of El Salvador. It has an area of 45.13 kilometers. The municipality is divided in 7 cantons: El Saltillal, Palo Verde, Quezalapa, San Ramoncito, Taltapanca, Tizapa, Tulapa.
