The architectural design of this horizontal complex, unique in its category, was the work of Don Luis Martínez Negrete. It takes advantage of the extensive greenery, with its 40,000 square meters (430,000 square feet) located on three hectares (7.5 acres) of gardens and recreational areas. This provides our visitors the sense of being in natural surroundings, with a sensation of freedom in the midst of an oasis of freshness and restfulness.
The 205-room Camino Real is situated overlooking landscaped tropical gardens in a quiet residential section of the city about 20-minutes from downtown Guadalajara. Accommodations overlook the gardens and feature the following amenities--air conditioning, satellite TV, mini-bar and a direct-dial long-distance telephone system.

Choose among different restaurants on the property. Visit Aquellos Tiempos for authentic Mexican cuisine in a turn-of-the-century atmosphere. Dine at La Huerta, a casual coffee shop that spills into hotel gardens. Finish the evening off with live music and a tequila at La Diligencia. The Lobby Bar is also a relaxing place to have a conversation and a cocktail.
The hotel boasts four swimming pools, a lighted tennis court, a gym, a putting green and a childrens playground. There is golf nearby for those who require more than the putting green.
