Casa Felipe Flores is a hospitable and comfortable boutique hotel that is located in one of the oldest Spanish settlements in Mexico, San Cristóbal de Las Casas. It is a few blocks away from a museum, church and local market. This historic landmark features authentic Mexican and Guatemalan furniture, Talavera tile, original art work and collectibles and books representing the Maya regions of Chiapas. Each of the six rooms are uniquely named and have a fireplace and private bathroom. There are is a dining room for guests to enjoy a delicious breakfast and three courtyards and one sun terrace for them to relax in.
In 2005 the owners of Casa Felipe Flores co-founded a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that develops funding for proven charities which directly serve Chiapas’ most disadvantaged people. With a focus on improving health, education and economic independence for men, women and children of all ages, a total of 55 grants have been distributed between 2005 and 2013. A good portion of the funding has come from guests who have stayed at Casa Felipe Flores. Casa Felipe Flores is also an eco-friendly hotel promoting ecological awareness.
Each room features Mexican and Guatemalan furnishings and is decorated with local artist paintings and crafts. The room is right by one of the courtyards and has a fireplace to keep you warm and cozy. Room amenities include: Desk, fireplace and complimentary bathroom toiletries.
Casa Felipe Flores has a dining room that offers an American style breakfast. A self-service bar is also available.
