Hotel Plaza Colon is located right in front of Parque Colón, known as Parque Central in the historical city of Granada. The hotel is set in an elegant antique colonial house that has been restored to its original style and architecture, with external courtyards and balconies overlooking Central Park and the Cathedral. You can take a horse drawn carriage right at the front of the Hotel and tour the city around.
The guestrooms have all the amenities of a modern hotel in the center of a historical city: A/C, Ceiling fans, Hot Water, Cable TV, Internet Connection, Minibar, National and International Phone Calls.

Don Simon Cafeteria, just aside from the Hotel, will offer you a typical breakfast and a taste of the best Nicaraguan coffee. Granada has a cheerful night life full of bars and lounges. From the Hotel you can have access to ENOTECA, which is not only a bar, but also a place where you can enjoy a wide variety of wines.
You can wander in the buildings and stores around Parque Central, also known as Parque Colon, including the Palacio de la Cultura Joaquín Cuadra Pasos, on the west side. On the north end of the plaza on the right side, you will see a stone portico with lions, the only surviving portion of the original building burnt by William Walker. Today it is La Casa de los Tres Mundos, an arts and cultural center where you can catch an exhibition or arts rehearsal (Monday through Sunday, 8AM-6PM).
