Day 1: Panama City
Upon arrival you will be met by our local representative who will help you locate your vehicle.

Built within the Calicanto stonewalls and finished with delicate wooden details, each suite is equipped with state of the art bathrooms, imported Italian kitchens, top of the line wine fridges, LCD TVs with Satellite, Sony IPod docks and L'Occitane bathroom amenities, differencing each other only by size and specific amenities.
Casco Viejo
Day 2: Panama City
Your English speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you on a private tour to Panama City and the Miraflores Locks. You will start the tour with a 30 minutes drive to Miraflores to see the huge vessels passing the Panama Canal. You will enjoy the view on the Locks from a sheltered terrace and listen to the explanations of your guide. To complete the visit of the Canal you will visit the Museum and Visitor Center at Miraflores which gives you a good idea on the construction of the Canal – a masterpiece of engineering. After the visit to the Canal continue with your guide to the Amador Causeway, a road that connects three Islands in the Pacific Ocean and offers magnificent views on the Canal on one side and on the skyline of Panama City on the other side. The tour continues to the Casco Viejo, Panama City’s colonial quarter. At the Casco Viejo you feel set back in time as you admire the lovely colonial houses, the narrow roads and the impressive churches. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

White Water Rafting
Day 4: Boquete
The Palon Section (literally "big stick") of Rio Chiriqui Viejo river is a class III and IV with non stop excitement, pristine tropical forest, and more. Considerably narrower than its counterpart and dropping at a faster speed, the Viejo requires quick, tight maneuvering to get through the many rock gardens and enormous boulders and delivers continuous white water that contribute to its class IV ranking. This is a guaranteed ride of a lifetime for rafters seeking a thrill.
During dry season (Dec.-May): During your decent down the river, you will stop for lunch at beautiful location. Here, you will take a short hike to an incredible picturesque 30 foot waterfall. This is a truly remarkable sight.
During rainy season: (June-Nov.): With more water, and more speed, this time of the year is ideal for those searching for the biggest thrill. During this excursion, the river guide will lead a descent through the entire Palon section and most of the Sabo section of this river.

Panama hiking
Day 5: Boquete
The Los Quetzales trail unites the two communities of Boquete and Cerro Punta and is one of Panama’s most visited and popular hikes, named for a particular species of bird called the Resplendent Quetzal. Quite elusive, these birds are a magnificent and rare treat to observe and are a favorite among many birding enthusiasts. In addition to the Quetzal, there are more than 220 other bird species native to the area. From Cerro Punta to Boquete, the 10 km trail climbs steadily (roughly 800 meters) as you pass from tropical rain forest to tropical cloud forest and takes approximately 4-6 hours of hiking to complete. The tour starts with a two hours drive from Boquete to Cerro Punta where your hiking adventure on the Quetzal Trail starts. A strong 4x4 vehicle will take you to the ranger station in the park.

Mountain Rainforest
Day 6: Boquete
For the Baru Volcano Hike you will be picked up at 6 a.m. at your hotel. You will enjoy a lovely drive uphill to the Volcan Baru National Park Ranger Station. From there you will start the challenging hike to the highest point of Panama. Depending on your level of fitness you will reach the top between 4 and 6 hours. If the wheather conditions are good, you will be able to see both oceans from the top of the volcano. On the summit you will enjoy a picnic lunch. In the afternoon you will hike back down, this takes between 3 and 5 hours. After the tour you will be dropped of at your hotel. While hiking up the volcano you will encounter 6 different climate zones: humid mountain forest, low humid mountain forest, low humid mountain rainforest, mountain rainforest, very humid mountain rainforest and pre-mountain rainforest. The average annual temperatures vary between 20°C at the Park Ranger Station to under 10°C on the top of the volcano.

Panama’s Island
Day 7: Boquete
This day trip is perfect for beginner paddlers and those who want to spend an active day in the remote island paradise of Panama’s Pacific coast. You will paddle from Boca Chica to one of the nearby islands for a day of snorkeling, exploring and relaxing. Participants should be in good physical condition. This trip includes about 4 hours of moderate paddling.
Minimum age: 10 years Duration: 8 hours
Includes: Transportation to and from Boquete, boats, gear, guides and lunch

Isla Bolanos
Day 9: Boca Brava
Enjoy an incredible day of fishing or snorkeling in the beautiful islands Bolaños & San Jose. Bolaños Islands are several small islands each with its own personality, attraction and charm with its white sand beaches and its lush jungle vegetation. In every corner you discover on the island you will find even more spectacular sceneries. The islands are surrounded by crystal clear waters that offer a possibility of an extraordinary snorkeling. Bolaños Islands are famous for humpback whale watching during season (from July to November); it is also common to find sea turtles nesting, green iguanas and tiny green and black frogs. San Jose Island is a mini archipelago that consists of one main island and two other small islands. San Jose is famous for its forest and freshwater sources and as night shelter for local fishermen during rough sea. The islands are very picturesque with white sand beaches and transparent water. Its abundant fishgrounds are a good option to enjoy amateur fishing.

Travel tips of Panama
VISA/PASSPORT
U.S. citizens traveling by air to and from Panama must present a valid passport when entering or re-entering the United States. Sea travelers must have a valid U.S. passport (or other original proof of U.S. citizenship, such as a certified U.S. birth certificate with a government-issued photo ID). U.S. tourists are allowed to stay in Panama for 90 days. U.S. citizens transiting the Panama Canal as passengers who do not plan on disembarking from the ship do not need to obtain visas, report to customs, or pay any fees. However, if they do plan to disembark they need to obtain a tourist card from the cruise line or a visa at a Panamanian embassy or consulate prior to traveling. Canadian citizens using Canadian passports do not need a visa to enter Panama for tourism or business stays.
Please note obtaining a visa is your responsibility. These requirements change often and therefore it is best that you check with the Embassy of Panama for the most up to date visa information.

Health insurance is recommended. Medical facilities are good quality but not widespread. We recommend that you see a health-care provider who specializes in Travel Medicine. The doctor or health-care provider will determine what vaccinations and medication you will need, depending on factors such as your health and immunization history, areas of the country you will be visiting, and planned activities. - Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price, minimum $350). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure.
- Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $350 (per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.

- Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
