NOTE: Travel in Egypt often involves early-morning starts, designed to avoid crowds and the hottest midday hours. It can be hot, especially in June, July and August, but there is virtually no humidity and evening temperatures cool off dramatically. Egypt is a moderate secular state, well used to hosting hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. While you will want to avoid revealing clothing, loose shorts and short-sleeved shirts are fine for both genders on board your Nile cruise and while sightseeing.
A transfer in private vehicle with English speaking driver between Cairo and the airport is provided.
You will be met in the tunnel by an airport representative who will facilitate the visa process (included) and escort you through customs and immigration. Continue on to the baggage claim hall and finally to the passenger pick up. Here, connect with a representative associate who will arrange an airport transfer to your hotel.
Enjoy this tour which explores the relics of past ages, and includes visits to the ancient Memphis, Saqqara, the Solar Boat, Chephren Pyramid and the Great Pyramids of Giza. Already millennia old by the birth of Christ, the elaborate statues and astonishing scale of these sites will amaze all who visit. This tour also features the famous Sphinx, whose constructor still remains unknown, but its sheer beauty and allure has mystified the likes of Alexander the Great and Napoleon Bonaparte. This tour includes a private vehicle, a driver, a trained Egyptologist, and entry to either the Chephren (Khafre) or Menkaure (Mycerinus) pyramids, as well as the Solar Boat. Entrance to the Pyramids is not included. Be aware that a limited number of people are allowed inside the Pyramids daily.
Enjoy a buffet lunch at a great local restaurant.
You will be picked up before sunrise (or sunset) from your hotel and transferred to the desert to meet your guide. The guide will lead you out into the desert on your choice of camel or horse, where you can enjoy watching the sunset with a panoramic view of the Pyramids of Giza. This evening includes a stop for dinner at a Bedouin restaurant adjacent to the desert before returning to your hotel.
Take an Egypt Air flight from Cairo to Aswan.
An airport transfer with private vehicle, and driver is provided.
This half day tour begins with a visit to the impressive Aswan High Dam. The water which was collected behind created Lake Nasser, the world's largest artificial lake. View the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the Goddess Iris, on the island of Agilika, stopping at the “unfinished obelisk,” a practical demonstration of the methods used by ancient craftsmen to create impressive monuments.
Enjoy an evening of entertainment including local music.
Visit a unique Greco-Roman temple dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, the sun god. The Temple in Kom Ombo (also known simply as Kom Ombo Temple) dates from about 180 BC, during a period known as the Ptolemaic era, and had some additions built on to it during Roman times. It stands right on the bank of the Nile between Edfu and Aswan. The temple is unusual in that it is a double temple, with one side dedicated to the god Haroesis and the other side to Sobek. The design is almost perfectly symmetrical, with two side-by-side sanctuaries and two parallel passageways leading through the outer parts of the temple. The right side is dedicated to Sobek-Re (the crocodile god combined with the sun god Re), along with his wife (a form of Hathor) and their son Khonsu-Hor. Sobek is associated with Seth, the enemy of Horus. In the myth of Horus and Osiris, Seth and his followers changed themselves into crocodiles to escape. The ancient Egyptians believed that by honouring the fearsome crocodile as a god, they would be safe from attacks. The left side is dedicated to Haroeris, the "Good Doctor" (a form of the falcon-headed god Horus the Elder) along with his consort Ta-Sent-Nefer, the "Good Sister" (another form of Hathor).
Visit the Nile-side Temple of Horus, the falcon god, built in 230 BC by Ptolemy III. The Temple of Horus in Edfu (also known as the Temple of Edfu) is considered the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. This is partly because it was built later than most: in the Ptolemaic era from 237 to 57 BC. Despite its later date, it reflects traditional pharaonic architecture and so provides an excellent idea of how all the temples once looked. Edfu is also very large: the second largest in Egypt after Karnak Temple.
Enjoy a private tour with a qualified Egyptologist guide exploring the East Bank of Luxor. Visit the most impressive temples of Karnak and Luxor, while learning about ancient Egyptian history from your own personal guide. Start your day with a visit to the Temples of Karnak. Walk along the Avenue of Sphinx to enter the complex as your guide explains how the massive facade was constructed. Continue to Luxor Temple which was once joined to the Temples of Karnak by a two-kilometre long Avenue of Sphinx, a portion of which marks the entrance to the temple. Your private guide will offer interpretation and guide you through the most important parts of the temples.
This morning you will meet up with your guide and explore some of the most incredible sites of the country. You will visit the Valley of the Kings where you will have the chance to explore three tombs. For a period of nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC, tombs were constructed for the kings and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom (the Eighteenth to the Twentieth Dynasties of Ancient Egypt). The valley stands on the west bank of the Nile, opposite modern Luxor. Then it's off to the nearby Valley of the Queens and also the recently renovated mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Hatshepsut was the second pharaoh of the eighteenth dynasty of Ancient Egypt. She is generally regarded by Egyptologists as one of the most successful pharaohs, reigning longer than any other woman of an indigenous Egyptian dynasty. The tour includes a visit to the huge Colossi of Memnon which are all that remain of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.
An airport transfer with a private vehicle and English-speaking driver in Luxor is provided.
Take your flight from Luxor to Sharm El Sheikh. The flight duration is approximately 1hr and 20mins.
An airport transfer with private vehicle and English-speaking driver is provided.
Sign up for optional activities at your resort (not included in tour price); deep sea fishing, boat excursions, scuba diving, or other.
You will be picked up before sunset from your hotel and transferred to the desert to meet your guide. The guide will lead you out into the desert on quad-runners (ATVs) where you watch the beautiful sunset, and stop for tea at Bedouin tents before returning to your hotel.
This half day tour includes entrance into the Ras Mohammed National Park, a roundtrip transfer, an English speaking driver and guide. Combining beautiful backdrops for sightseeing and lush coral reefs for snorkeling, the park appeals to a variety of adventurous travelers.

Delve into the historical background of Egypt on a half day private tour with a trained Egyptologist guide through the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities and its Mummy Room, which houses a priceless treasure of archaeological finds. This location holds the tomb of the King Tut, Egypt's most famous teenage King! Entrance to the mummies’ room is included.
During this evening tour, enjoy a delicious Egyptian dinner at Naguib Mafouz, located in the heart of the Khan Khalili bazaar in Cairo. Stroll down the Al Moaz Street and view the largest concentration of medieval architectural treasures from the Islamic world. If you wish, visit Beit El Seheimy (entrance included). Normally, this location would be closed to the public during the evening, but this exclusive tour provides access. This tour includes a private vehicle, driver and English speaking guide.
The Pharaonic Village is an experience like no other. The instant you begin sailing down the canals that circuit through the island you are immersed totally in Egypt’s history and legend. Everywhere you look, you will find more and more of the sights and sounds of ancient Egypt, until finally you believe that you have truly traveled through time to a distant and glorious past. Dedicated to creating an entertaining and educational capital, the Pharaonic Village offers unique exhibits which cover Egypt's 5000 years of history. Each exhibit has been crafted to the most exacting standards. From Cleopatra to the Mummification exhibit to the Art Center where children can learn to write in Hieroglyohs and create their own papyrus, the Pharaonic Village has something for everyone.
Delve into the ancient Christian enclave of Cairo, with its Coptic iconography and architecture. Your private guide will also take you through the hanging church, Ben Ezra Synagogue. The synagogue was originally a Christian church, which the Coptic Christians of Cairo had to sell to the Jews in 882 AD in order to pay the annual taxes imposed by the Muslim rulers of the time. The synagogue was a place of pilgrimage for North African Jews and the site of major festival celebrations. Numerous restorations and renovations were made over the centuries, and the present building dates from 1892. It is a faithful reconstruction of the original, which had collapsed. During the reconstruction, a medieval Geniza (a hiding place for sacred books and worn-out Torah scrolls) was discovered, revealing thousands of original documents from the Middle Ages. Your tour also includes mosques of old Islamic Cairo -Ibn Toloun, Amr Ibn El As and Sultan Hassan.

"I’m back and I had an AMAZING trip from beginning to end – trip of a lifetime to be sure. Aseem, I wanted to thank you for all your help, advice and fantastic planning for this trip. The itinerary, accommodations and guides were phenomenal! As a single woman travelling alone, I have to be willing to get on that plane and have the faith there will be dependable, competent people at the other end for me when I arrive. And with both of my Kensington trips, my hopes were surpassed. I wouldn’t have changed a single thing about this trip."

"Mohammed, our main guide throughout this itinerary was excellent and made sure every part of our experience was safe and entertaining. He often called ahead when we arrived at our next destination to talk to us by cell phone about our arrival and safety...we greatly appreciated his expertise and professionalism. Likewise, Mohammed (our driver in Cairo) became a good friend and was kind and courteous throughout.
The other guides during the trip....Sam in Luxor during the Nile trip and Samya in Sharm....could not have been any better. Great people, excellent guides and travel companions. I will think about them and this entire trip with great fondness. I will surely recommend Egypt and the Sinai to others who are considering a trip to the middle east in the future. With so much bad press lately, it was reassuring to have these people planning our every move and making things feel secure, inspiring and entertaining."
