Israel is an exceptional country, known by millions around the world as ‘the Holy Land’. The first five books of the Bible itself are about the origins and cosmology of the ‘people of Israel’, the Jews, from around 2000BC. Many visitors experience overwhelming emotions at the significance of this city that is so special to three of the world's religions. Your private guide will take you through Jerusalem and its temples and churches. This day tour cruise extension includes private transfers to/from the port. Relax with the comfort of 24/7 local support from the Kensington office.
Begin this tour with a drive to Jerusalem to enjoy panoramic views of the old city, and the Judean Desert from the famed, Mount of Olives. From here, enter the old city, and visit Mount Zion, King David's tomb, the Last Supper hall, the Cardo, the Jewish Quarter, and the Western Wall. This tour of Jerusalem also visits the The Temple Mount, boasting unbelievable views of this ancient city. Next, proceed to the Christian Quarter, the Via Dolorosa, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher before entering the Arab Market and the Jaffa gate. Continue onward to the new city portion whilst driving along the Knesset, before making a stop at the Israel museum (visit if time permits and the tour is on a day that the museum is open), and a visit to Yad Vashem before returning back to the ship.
Please note obtaining a visa is your responsibility. These requirements change often and therefore it is best that you check with the Embassy of Israel for the most up to date visa information.
