Located in the heart of the Royal Chitwan National Park, Temple Tiger Jungle Resort is best known for quality of service and excellent accommodation. The lodge is not accessible by car – to get there you must take a boat across the river marking the border of the park, followed by a fifteen minute jeep ride. Rooms are traditional thatched cottages, spread throughout the camp and lit at night by kerosene lamps. All rooms have twin beds, private balconies and en suite bathrooms with hot running water.Days are filled with elephant safaris through the park, with no set paths to follow you are free to go as you please, seeking out rhinos, deer, bear and and even the elusive tiger. The lodge owns 10 elephants and guests are given the opportunity to bathe and spend time with them and their mahouts. Jeep rides and boat rides are also available, as well as walking and bird watching.

There is a wildlife viewing platform which is constructed near the wetlands, which lies pretty close to the lodge. This gives you a chance to witness the wonderful wildlife of the park.
