The Earl’s Regency is the ideal five-star luxury hotel from which to explore the attractions of Kandy and the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka. Situated next to the river and surrounded by hills, The Hotel offers a perfect oasis of calm where guests can retreat after a day of seeing the sights. The Premium Rooms come with kingsize beds, bathrobes and slippers and LCD TVs and DVD players.The room also includes free daily snacks, such as cake, in the room. Premium Plus Rooms have a larger balcony and can be interconnected to provide accommodation for families.
The main restaurant can seat up to 175 people and provides a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. It’s the setting for the comprehensive buffets, where guests can choose from delectable displays decorated with amazing pastry or sugar sculptures. There is always something going on in the show kitchen, from omelettes and waffles at breakfast to roast lamb or chicken shawarma in the evening.
The Mountbatten Lounge is open 24 hours a day and is an ideal place for a drink or snack – maybe a pizza, steak or cheesecake. Large TV screens also make it a popular gathering place to watch cricket or other important sports fixtures! During the day, the full-length windows give great views of the river, or guests could catch up with business or the email using the free Wi-Fi. On Saturday evenings the bar has live music on the piano.
